Servo's core mechanic is earning parts in battle and then customizing your Servos with those parts. Collecting awesome new parts from Nemodium Blades to Hydra Launchers and experimenting with the new strategies they enable is key to Servo. The marriage between that progression and a well-crafted RTS game sets Servo apart.

It's not a MOBA, right?

Definitely not! Servo has base-building, economy, troop recruitment, and all the other stuff you'd expect from a traditional RTS. We just also happen to have sweet customizable hero units that you design yourself with the loot you earn from battle.

They are about a decade and a half behind Uber, but it may be fun to mess about with it with a friend for a few hours. Their site doesn't even seem to mention the maximum number of players their game allows. That's how nooby they are. But probably the worst indication is how they don't seem to talk about the base-building aspect at all, and all the screenshots they've published barely have any structures in them, so I am expecting Halo Wars-level base-building, only with uglier buildings.

Also, pathetic number of units on-screen, so far. I think it will be a stretch to call it an RTS in the long run. Maybe by '90s standards.
