Maruyama noted that the game is not a fighting game, it's a JoJo game. One of the results of this is that the team is going for 30 frames per second. The CC2 team felt that they could either put all the power to make a fighting game by going with sixty frames per second, or they could put all the power to making a game with JoJo's expression and go with 30 frames per second. They decided on the latter, as 30 frames per second allows for the greater visual expression one wants from a JoJo game.

Shonen Jump announced JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle will be available in Japan on August 29. Namco Bandai will publish the fighting game from from Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm developer CyberConnect2.
A scan also reveals JoJolion will be a playable character in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle will be available as a standalone game for 7,980 yen ($85) and as a 16,980 yen ($182) special edition. The limited edition includes a Jotaro figure, a gold plate with an illustration drawn by Hirohiko Araki, and soundtrack CD (White Snake style) packaged in a special box.
First print copies of the limited edition and vanilla game also include DLC codes for Hayato Kawajiri memo book and Yoshikage Kira.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle is coming to North America, Europe, and Australasia in 2014, Namco Bandai announced at the Tokyo Game Show.
