Steam wrote:We fused card games and roguelikes together to make the best single player deckbuilder we could. Craft a unique deck, encounter bizarre creatures, discover relics of immense power, and Slay the Spire!

This came out in November and has dual Overwhelmingly Positive status on Steam. I don't like the art, but the premise and the hype look good, so I think I will give it a go after I am done with For The King.

This line is mine:

Another thing the reviewer didn't talk about was the main design: the fusion of "roguelike" (if that's indeed what the game plays like) and card game. Is that any good, compared to the Rune games, or Culdcept, or Baten Kaitos, etc.? That's the number one question anyone would want answered about this game, but of course it would never enter the head of the kind of person who likes card games.

From skimming several reviews, and looking at a bunch of screenshots, I would guess that no, the fusion sucks, because there don't seem to be any graphics. All movement appears to happen on a barebones map, so there doesn't seem to be any kind of immersive exploration aspect, as there is in all the other games I mentioned.

Of course I am not planning on paying any more than $2 to find out. So wake me when the price hits that level.
