I heard a new Battle Fantasia Location Test had begun on the 17th of November and would last to the end of the month. Is this true? It should be taking place at the same Arcade.

I'm curious if the site's owner (icycalm?) could take a few more videos of this game. I'd personally like to see a non-blurry version of Olivia's "dancing-esque" throw.

Now THAT'S how I'll make money off this website! I'll make videos on request and charge people for them. And the more specific the request the more money I'll charge.

One more Battle Fantasia video will cost you a dollar per 10 MB, while "a non-blurry version of Olivia's "dancing-esque" throw" will cost you 50 bucks, since there's a good chance I'll have to wait for half a day -- camera at the ready -- until someone picks Olivia and decides to use that specific move against his opponent.

But anyway, yeah, the second loke started on the 17th and will go on until the 30th, again in Akihabara's Hey arcade. However, even though I go there almost every day, I only cover one loke per game. Anything more is a waste of time, really. Seriously, 400 megs of videos are not enough for you?

Well I'm glad the existence of the test itself has been confirmed, as I've been posting it on other sites despite the fact that I couldn't read the info suggesting this.

About the videos, I doubt I'll die without seeing it, but I'll still curious. 400 MB is more then enough though, thanks.

I see am-net reporting another loke test on the 22-25th, but no other sites are saying the same. Is there any truth to this or do we just have to wait and see?

and I'm still a little curious about that video...

Cool, thanks for the link Hayama! I love the new screenshots.

I hope Arcsy's making some serious adjustments to the game all this time. It seriously needs to move a lot faster.

That'd be the one. But if I can ask you one favor, how's the reception of this title? You say you go to Hey Arcade frequently, are there many people playing it, or are they panning it in favor of Arcana Heart and VF5?

I ask out of curiousity of whether this will even be released, since many fighters are cancelled because of bad reception at loke tests (Kenju and CFAS being the ones that come to mind, the soonest.)

CFAS was just cancelled because Capcom closes his Arcade division.

This next year will be really awesome in the Arcade fighting scene: Arcana Heart, Battle Fantasia, Melty Blood Act-Cadenza Version B, Guilty Gear Accent Core, KOF XII, KOF Maximum Impact Regulation A and the new Samurai Shodown in 3D, with some rumors of a posible "Version C" of VF5... you got a lot of work Icy! =P

But didn't CFJ come out after CFAS was cancelled (in arcades, if I'm not mistaken...) and apparently Kenju could have been cancelled after support for Atomiswave was pulled, but there was still bad reception at the loke test. I can't even find videos of that one...

As i know, CFJ was some kind of experiment of Capcom for see if they can keep some business in the Arcade industry again, but fail... and i guess that you know why (the game is really horrible...)

They are trying to do some projects like War of the Grail and some Rockman EXE machines, but the Arcade division isnt a real division of Capcom now.

And thats so sad... i want SFIV badly :(

Capcom recently announced a new Street Fighter game would be relased for the series' 20th year anniversary (which is either 2007, or 08. Udon says 08, but the announcement cited 07...) So, SFIV may not be too far off. Of course, a lack of an arcade version (which will probably be the case) would hurt, but the fact that game might exist is reason enough to cheer.

VF5 is a 3D fighter and you can't compare its popularity to that of 2D fighters, because it's a different crowd of people playing it.

Judging by how many people turned up at the location tests, Arcana Heart>>>>>>>Battle Fantasia. And then some.

Yep, it's going to be a great year for arcade fighting fans. I'll cover all these games eventually, but it will take me a while. I'll be spending most of next year in Europe (France/Greece) so I'll only be reviewing arcade titles on short trips to Tokyo.

Official website is open:

Not too much there to get excited over, and even the wallpapers are decidedly bland:

Video from 3rd Loketest. Was that stage in the first one? In any case, it's nice to see the game in a more recent build.
