Data center to keep in mind for the future: https://swiftnode.net/dedicated-servers/london/

In their London location they have an i7-8700k for $149. This is the absolute fastest server for PA, according to mikey (though it is a desktop part, so reliability won't be as good as a server part): https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html

If this was in the US, I would be considering moving us.

And OVH is renting it overclocked to 5GHz (i.e. even faster than on the previously linked chart), and with 64GB RAM, and all for the dirt-cheap price of 120 euros... but in France: https://labs.ovh.com/intel-i7-8700K

Edit: Actually, that price is excluding VAT, so it's not such a great deal after all.

Anyway, in the next few months we should be seeing more options at NFO I should think. I should stop salivating over charts and do something productive with my time.

BSE sent $5, so we are up to $95.

If we got even the Russians donating we must be doing something well. All we need to do is keep delivering good Clan Wars, and we should eventually have our server for free.

One of our upstream providers will be performing maintenance on one of its routers between 10pm CST and 1am CST, starting on 1/17 and again starting on 1/18. This maintenance may cause brief periods of connectivity loss or increased latency for some clients to your service.

I sent $20, and with that we have $180, i.e. we'll be left with $10 after the $170 is deducted on the 5th. So we are good for February.
