FS: GTX 690, i7 960 and GA-X58A-UD7 (CLOSED)

Well, my GTX 690 just arrived, but in the meantime I decided to go for something even powerfuller, since I am trying to see if I can run a 3-projector 1080p and 3D at the same time setup. I highly doubt this can be done with existing GPU/CPU hardware on the latest games at full detail and still get playable frame rates, and there is not the slightest mention of the POSSIBILITY of such a display setup on the internet at the moment, never mind a benchmark of it, so if I do this I will really be breaking new ground here. But I am only going to give it a try if I can manage to offload the 690, as well as my processor and motherboard, because the new setup will consist of four 4GB 680s in SLI, which means I will need a bigger motherboard to hold them as well as the fastest processor available to avoid CPU bottlenecks. If I can't find buyers for my current stuff, on the other hand, I'll just order another 690 and be content with either 3-projector 720p 3D gaming, or 3-projector 1080p but with no 3D, since both of these can be handled perfectly well by dual 690s (and the first even by a single one), and wait for the big Kepler chip to make it into commercial cards before stepping it up.

So here's what's for sale, all brand-new in sealed box and sitting in my gaming room (pics coming soon):

EVGA GeForce GTX690 4096MB $999
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007ZR ... PDKIKX0DER

It is the single fastest graphics card available and by a huge margin. Universally glowing reviews here:

Intel Core i7-960 Processor 3.20 GHz 8 MB Cache Socket LGA1366 $330
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0036Z ... 00_s00_i00

This used to be the second fastest non-Extreme Edition Intel chip before the LGA2011 chips started appearing end of last year, beginning of this year. The cheapest you can find them now on Amazon is about $480, as per the link above, but I snagged one for $330 a couple of months ago and it's been sitting sealed in my storage room since then in expectation of all the other pieces, so I am willing to let it go for as much as I paid for it.

And finally,

Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 $350
http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Intel-Co ... 002YJPJ88/

This was Gigabyte's top model at the time of its release, and you can read more about it here: http://culture.vg/forum/topic?f=7&t=3119

It is perfect for the processor, and I'd like to sell them together if possible. On Amazon it can be found for $500, but that's unrealistic for a two-year-old model at this point, so I set the price at a more realistic $350.

Note that if you are located in Europe all these prices are extremely competitive because I've already paid the huge shipping and customs fees to bring them into Spain. The 690 for example is going for 980 euros ($1,270) on Amazon.de at the moment, and Germany is the cheapest country in Europe for electronics stuff (and all kinds of stuff, really) by far:

http://www.amazon.de/EVGA-04G-P4-2690-K ... 0080K666O/

Plus I am throwing in free shipping for everything, so it's a good deal.

If you are located in the US, on the other hand, I might be willing to knock off $50 or so off the graphics card to make it cheaper than Amazon (which anyway has run out of stock of the card at the moment, forcing you to go for one of its marketplace sellers which can charge an extra $50 to $100 on top of Amazon's price exactly because they have it in stock right now).

Ultimately, whether I sell this stuff or not I am going to have an insane gaming experience on my PC once I set it up in either of the two configurations. It's just that I am so intrigued by the fact that none of the tech-heads on the internet has tried the triple 1080p 3D projector setup at the moment, that I am willing to delay the building of my system to see if it can be achieved. And in the meantime I'll keep playing on the 360 in glorious blocky single-screen 768p lol.

P.S. If you have no idea what I am saying here check this video starting from 5:30

I am talking about the same thing but in 1080p instead of 720. And he doesn't have it set up perfectly. He's using a single screen instead of 3 angled ones for one thing (or a curved one, which is even more exotic), plus he's not running the games on full detail so he can get by on a 590. Also, no original Crysis or Metro 2033, so again he's not pushing the graphics subsystem to the limit. Of course this was done back in March '11, so a lot of this stuff wasn't even available back then, but that's what I am saying, things have moved on since then and someone needs to do an update on that rig. I get a chuckle when I see all the retards online trying to talk up triple-monitor setups with bezels everywhere and 27 or 30 puny inches as the Holy Grail of PC display set up. Fucking morons.
