I will wait for suggestions until midweek, and if nothing is forthcoming I'll think of something.

One idea is to use last week's system but turn on spawning anywhere for a change.

But it also all depends on how many clans and players show. It was a big system, so if we get few people, it might be inappropriate. On the other hand, if we get too many people, it might also be inappropriate, because then it would result in extra lag.

From now on, I want to have two-three systems up my sleeve every week, perhaps a new one plus a couple previous ones, and decide what to use based on how many people turn up, plus the general feeling of people in the lobby.

In short: let's wait and see.

Another vote for last week's system. It looked sick and I think it deserves a rematch, if not more.

It's actually quite close to his original submission. The main difference is that I substituted a lunar biome for his water planet (since there is already a quasi-water planet in the starting planets), and added lots of metal to it, since no one has been whining about lag lately. I expect it to be the main battleground, which is why I find its name fitting (Honor).

Five 750 planets should give every clan, no matter how small, enough space to expand and play for a while, before the crunch happens, and that's going to be a major consideration from now on. We want to give reasonably large starting planets to the clans (650-750), so that the smaller ones won't be crushed in 15 minutes, as has happened a couple times before.

It was a huge game with lots of fun stuff happening, but with crippling lag, and a crash at the end, so it is clear that changes need to be made. icy will elaborate soon, but we are looking at alternating each week between high and low divisions (i.e Uber-Gold and Silver-Bronze). More details soon.

One thing's for sure: you will need to be ranked to get in these lobbies from now, so get on that ladder and start playing!
