The Walking Dead: Season Two continues the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned by the undead apocalypse. Left to fend for herself, she has been forced to learn how to survive in a world gone mad.

Many months have passed since the events seen in Season One of The Walking Dead, and Clementine is searching for safety. But what can an ordinary child do to stay alive when the living can be just as bad -- and sometimes worse -- than the dead?

As Clementine, you will be tested by situations and dilemmas that will test your morals and your instinct for survival. Your decisions and actions will change the story around you, in this sequel to 2012's Game of the Year.

Key Features:

  • Decisions you made in Season One and in 400 Days will affect your story in Season Two
  • Based on Robert Kirkman's award-winning comic books
  • Play as Clementine, an orphaned girl forced to grow up fast by the world around her
  • A sequel to 2012's Game of the Year

Other platforms that didn't fit in the title are the PSV, the Ouya and iOS devices.

We don't have a thread for Season One (though we do have one for the FPS game Survival Instinct [ > ]), but if these games are as similar and as related as, say Sonic 4 Episode I and Episode II, then we should use this thread for all the seasons. Anyone who is familiar with the series, chime in here and help me out.

I recommend a single thread for all the seasons. The new season's opening episode might very well have been released as The Walking Dead: Episode 6, but it is far more exciting after all to announce a new season. It also clearly demarcates the new episodes where you play as Clementine, the adopted daughter from the first season.

If there are to be any significant new features at all in the second season, they'd likely be the result of the new protagonist. For instance, how are the quick-time events going to work in the new season? If you fail them, is Telltale really going to show Clementine getting torn apart and eaten? Or are they going to try something else altogether?

Apart from that, the seasons should be similar enough to need only a single thread.

Season 2, Episode 1 trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHK3pTdD8mw

It'd be nice to read expert opinions on how games like this (that is, Telltale adventure games) compare to a) traditional adventure games such as the '90s classics, and b) modern cinematic attempts such as Heavy Rain (or Deadly Premonition, if that is the same sort of thing). According to the hype this series might be the best of any of them. I wonder...

SDCC 2014: Telltale Confirms The Walking Dead Season 3
http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/07/26/ ... d-season-3

Marty Sliva wrote:The adventure will continue, but when and with whom still remains a mystery.

Telltale's The Walking Dead series will continue into a third season. The studio's co-founder Kevin Bruner confirmed the news during the Skybound Entertainment panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2014.

Telltale remained vague on many of the details of the next season, including a release window. Considering that the adventure game studio has both Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones slated for 2014, it's a safe bet that TWD Season 3 won't start until 2015. Telltale also didn't comment on whether or not Clementine would come back as the main character.

Telltale recently wrapped up The Wolf Among Us in tremendous fashion. Meanwhile, "No Going Back," Episode 5 of The Walking Dead Season 2, is around the corner, so be sure to check back soon for our full review.
