As for your earlier request, I had already taken a look and shifted the Steam and YouTube logos by one pixel. But just let me know which banner does not seem right to you and how you feel it should be shifted, and I will do it.

Actually, now that I look at it again, all the other banners on the frontpage have a transparent background so they can look good on all the different site styles... So this would really stand out with a blue background... Maybe you could make the font blue and the background transparent? I will try what you made tomorrow anyway, but I doubt it will work.

icy, I just tried the Haze theme and it seems to me the Twitch banner is a bit hard to read when compared with the other ones.

It's the same deal with the Marble theme. Maybe it would be a good idea to make the inside of the letters white, like the YouTube banner?

You are right. And it should in fact be white in the middle if we want to follow the official guidelines.

A little header touch-up when you can:

On the far right there's a big helicopter. To its left, over a smaller helicopter, you can see part of its rotor hanging in space. I'd like that gone. Also, to the left of the airplane's tail, you can also see part of a wing hanging in space, clipped by the edge of the image. This may be harder to remove, but see if you can do it.

Also, I am getting ready to post the Insomnia mix article, and I'd like to add a prominent link to the sidebar to have it handy for people (and especially for myself) to launch when they want to. I am considering placing it above the books, but I have not decided if a text link would be better, or an image banner, and if I go with the banner, I am not sure whether a full 270x100 one would be better, or something smaller (same length though, maybe 270x30 or something). So maybe you could experiment with this a little? I'd like the banner to say "Launch the Insomnia Mix", probably in all caps, and probably with the same font used for the book covers and the Cult logo.

I don't need this urgently or anything. Whenever you have the time.

Actually, I think using the font of the Insomnia logo (on the top left of the site) would be preferable, so that it won't clash with the Cult logo and make it seem cheaper (as it would if we used it for everything). Do you still have that font?

So the Twitter logo is now up on the sidebar and certainly gets the job done, even though it's not exactly my idea of tasteful. The thing is I don't think anything can be done about it, since the logo is inherently ugly -- or at least incompatible with the site's look compared to all the other logos. I'll look around to see if Twitter offers any other official logos that might improve things, but for now this should do the job.

Another thing I wanted to ask you Ronan, is to look in your files and see if you have your edited version of the full Ico wallpaper used for the header of the forum. I mean the edited version of this image:

I am using it for the Facebook and Twitter headers, since the forum header is too small to do the job, but as things stand right now it's not looking very good because of the imperfections you edited out in your version. So, if you still have your version, post it here, and if you don't, maybe you wouldn't mind re-editing it? To remind you, it needs to have the lettering removed, as well as the weird vertical lines to the right of the image, and the weird piece of cloth hanging from the dude's head between his head and Yorda's.

So I can upload it, but you can't... That's very strange. No idea what I can do about it.

At any rate here are a couple of new headers I need some work done on, when you find the time.

In the first one I'd like all the stuff that's cropped at the top edge of the image gone. From left to right this is: a pair of legs at the left, another pair of legs in the middle, a demon's face plus about three limb-looking sort of things after it, then three claws, and finally another pair of legs at the far right. The tail of the scorpion-looking thing at the far right should be left intact.

The tail at the bottom right needs to go:

I have a further challenge for you, though, if you think you can do it. In the WarCraft one, there is still a tail visible over the man's armor. I didn't ask for you to fix it before because I thought, and still think, it's probably not possible, but since you got back to me so quickly and did these three apparently so easily, I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask...

Hey ronan, do you think you can remove the text from this header and replace it with the +R logo, for the Online thread:

Maybe also move the character a little bit to the left, so that he doesn't seem like an afterthought to the image?

For Ico they posted the raw emulator screens without fixing the aspect ratio. At least they took a lot of them, so I could pick some decent ones among them. See what you can do with them when you have a moment. I am very curious to see the results.

Also, it seems the emulator adds vertical black lines to the left and right of the Ico screens... I doubt they are there in the game when played on a PS2, though it would be good to confirm this before you removed them.

Does anyone have a copy of the game at hand to check?

Ico runs natively at low resolution, so I resized your screens before creating a scanline effect. I have also added some that I took myself. The emulator unfortunately creates a ghost effect that is bothering (like on the right side of Yorda on the second image).

I removed the black lines on the sides, but it should not matter too much, considering that the image on a CRT screen could be magnified.

Regarding "Nico", do you need the usual image size (in which case I cannot add scanlines since it is a higher resolution game) or do you want a bigger one?
