Thankfully, the potential to accurately render his aesthetic style has improved since Magna Carta: Crimson Stigmata was released on the PlayStation 2.

This is Game conducted an interview with Kim Hyung-Taek and Bae Jae-Hyun, the production director. For those not familiar with Hangul, here is an English translation. The first link provides more screenshots as well.

Just heard about this like a week ago. Apparently it got a Western release in 2016.

The character designs look great as you can see here: http://www.creativeuncut.com/art_blade-and-soul_a.html

In-game, they look closer to those depictions than what I've seen of the Magna Cartas (though I've never played them). Apparently Kim Hyung Taek left the company a couple years ago: https://kotaku.com/one-of-koreas-most-t ... 1497760897

I hope he continues to do work in videogames, nowadays is a good time for him too since his style translates better now than in the past.

Gives a nice overview of the game. The graphics seem to have improved since its Eastern debut as well.
