I wrote:Hey man, I just read your latest article on the issue of "hidden gems".
I am just going to make another attempt to explain to you where people like that guy you are bashing and I are coming from. Bash us all you want, but perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to also try to understand at some point why we act the way we do?
We don't care how much shit a console's library contains. We just don't buy it and play it. We buy and play the good stuff (or at any rate the stuff that we like). You are trying to turn the term "hidden gem" into an insult. Which is fine, but still irrelevant to those who want to play EVERY LAST GREAT GAME THAT HAS EVER BEEN MADE. Even the 3DO had at least one great game: Return Fire. And no amount of insults and personal crusades against the company that made that console is going to prevent us from buying the console and tracking down a copy of the game. No amount of puerile insinuations that we "don't have enough sex" or whatever. I don't know about the guy who has 100 Wii games, but I've had so much sex in my life that at times I even got tired of it. Have you ever tried having sex 3 times a day for even just a week? You can get sick of sex if you have too much of it just the same as with any other thing. Harping on and on and on about how "nerds" don't have enough sex can also get tiring. This is a picture of me:

So, you can keep writing your articles against Nintendo, or Sony, or whoever, and they are generally great and very amusing to read, but until you make an effort to understand that
real gamers are only ultimately interested in games, and not in politics, or business, or PR or whatever, you will continue to miss the mark on what makes us tick -- as well as many great games.
