I already had this on my wishlist, but for some reason I'd neglected to make a thread. It's interesting. The idea of becoming scum is appealing to me. I always wanted to become scum, and thanks to the power of videogames, I will shortly be able to.

SCUM has sold 700,000 copies in a week: https://twitter.com/ScumGame/status/103 ... 498397185/

Getting PUBG flashes here. We got into PUBG sometime after it hit one million, and at this rate it won't take SCUM long to get there. I am sure it won't be as big of a hit, ultimately, because it's way slower and more complex, but it might sell a few million before sales stabilize. Gotta try it soon.

Gamepires wrote:Blueprint system

We are happy to introduce our new blueprint system for crafting items that will be used for building fortifications in the future. We also did a small rework in the crafting system for the blueprints, mostly items that have usage.

Fortifications and vehicles added (or are about to be added), among other things:

Also, they are working on adding cities:

So it seems that the devs are looking to add loads of cool NPCs to the game. SCUM is already the most graphically advanced survival/crafting-lite game out there, and with these sharp-looking NPCs it would look even sharper. I am just not sure in what ways exactly they would be used. If they complexified the PVE element, that would be great—though the endgame issues I outlined in my review would still remain. It might help with the midgame though, which would be great because this game doesn't even have a decent midgame—again, as I explained at length in my review.

Also, Rust wants its scientists back:

No idea how they would integrate such a variety of normal-life NPCs on an island made exclusively for a game show about prisoner Battle Royale... They don't seem to have thought through their lore very well... like pretty much all survival and survival-crafting games ever, starting with that early tech demo about mines and crafting whose name escapes me right now. You know the one, it sold some copies I hear.
