Steam wrote:An FPS open-world factory building sim. You play as an engineer on an alien planet as part of the 'Save The Day' program - a program whose goal is to construct a massive machine for a mysterious purpose. Conquer nature, build multi-story factories, and automate to satisfaction!

"Probably this year. But who knows, really", according to the FAQ on the official site.

Satisfactory will now be exclusive to the Epic store. Its Steam page is gone.

This is the only announcement I could find about it: https://twitter.com/SatisfactoryAF/stat ... 8803990529

Here's the Epic store page: https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/p ... ctory/home

Update #1

End of April™ Update
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aceacdNX9WA

The main new thing seems to be lifts to help build on the z-axis (which they incorrectly call the "y-axis").

Coffee Stain wrote:CONVEYOR LIFTS

Because you need something to do all the lifting for you.

No more overly complicated, inefficient and messy conveyor belt spirals. Verticality is the new black, so we’ve been working hard on a streamlined, efficient way of transporting goods along the y-axis. They take less space, less effort, and definitely require less overheating from your poor computer.

They also started a blog: https://www.satisfactorygame.com/blog

Dedicated servers are on the roadmamp, but with no ETA: https://www.satisfactorygame.com/#roadmap-section

I'd love to run it on our server. It's been dormant for ages, and this game would be perfect for it.

If you have the faintest interest in building games, and want to understand the true potential of Satisfactory, you have to watch this video.

This Factory Blows My Mind. Yes, It's That Good! Fan Factory Friday S2 Ep. 15

See the monstrously higher potential of 3D over 2D?

I gotta put more time in this game. If they put in real enemies and challenge some day, it would be unbelievable, it would make Factorio look like a mini-game (just like all 3D games and genres eventually make their 2D predecessors look, but this hasn't happened in this factory-building subgenre quite yet just because it's so new).

It was my intention to see if anyone else wanted to jump back in to attempt a completion run when such a thing is possible, such as at 1.0. Though I've had my fingers crossed they do something more with the enemies. The last time I played, they did seem to respawn much more quickly than before, but this could still easily be suppressed by building in an area.

We could set for ourselves a project as complex as the dude's in the video, and this should give us enough challenge, even if there's many of us. But it would be wise to wait as long as possible so that more cool stuff will be in. Plenty of other, more complete games to play in the meantime. Also, they have plans to release the dedicated server, in which case we could have our factory running 24/7 and people just adding to it, so that eventually we'd have something as complex as the dude's setup. It wouldn't be as elegant though unless we discussed and designed and planned everything out to a high level of coordination. I am all for trying to do that. We could set for ourselves the goal of making something even cooler than his, and then getting it featured on that YT channel. I mean, it's a goal! It would give ourselves a steep challenge, for sure.

Besides, with the dedicated server we could perhaps increase the numbers and ferocity of the enemy attacks, or add mods etc. Might be able to turn it into Ubersatisfactory at some point, if we're patient.

Pretty insane pics coming out of Satisfactory for the last couple of years. A new update just dropped, and they even added experimental dedicated server support.

The trailer shows insane things, and it's very pretty too. Too bad there still aren't any real threats...

Full directory of mods: https://ficsit.app/mods?p=1

I went through it and only found ONE mod that can MAYBE be used to modify the difficulty of aliens.

Difficulty Tuner: https://ficsit.app/mod/DifficultyTuner

SifVerT wrote:Turn off either or both friendly and hostile creatures including an arachnophobia and a no Space Giraffe mode

That's ALL it seems to do in regards to the aliens, just turns them off lol, but I am thinking it could be used as a base to modify it to add more.

By all means, someone else should go through the mods too and see if I missed anything, as I skimmed them very quickly in disgust at the lacking options. There are a shitload of mods that REDUCE the already NON-EXISTENT difficulty, which tells you all you need to know about what a bunch of fags this developer has amassed as playerbase due to their faggotistical design.

The latest update adds combat/weapon options, which is a shame considering there's basically nothing to fight.

Let's just hope a modder rectifies the situation at some point. Or maybe one of you guys could try to fix this.

Too bad your world is pitiful, and your game lacks all challenge. Star Citizen will soon have 1000x of anything you have. Get bent, programmers. Your era is over.
