The CL and ES are coming in the next point patch. Could be as soon as next week. They look terrific.

They really are. Everything has been taken one notch higher in sharpness and detail, and also design. You can see their teams learning to design spaceships year by year lol.
Let us know if anyone is planning on buying or upgrading to one. shubn is building a chain for the MR, but that's the bounty-hunting one that will be released later, and I don't even think it'll give him a Zeus as loaner. He'll probably get the next bounty-hunting ship down, which I think is the Cutlass Blue.
In terms of function, it looks like the Zeus is the next step up from the Spirit. The Spirits are 2-seaters and the Zeuses 3-seaters. There are more angles to analyze it from, but at least as regards the cargo variants, I think my description is apt.
I think we're primarily interested in the cargo variant for the Contractors right now. The exploration variant doesn't make much sense right now since the official exploration mechanics aren't in yet. The bounty-hunting variant would be cool, but it's nowhere on the horizon. The exploration variant has the advantage of better weapons and shields than the cargo one, so until the bounty-hunting one comes out, that would be the variant to use for more dangerous scenarios. So we could use both upcoming variants, but if I could only have one, I'd get the cargo.

Star Citizen Wiki wrote:The Zeus Mk II series is a set of ships manufactured by Roberts Space Industries intended to compete with other ships of the same class, such as the Spirit. The series is named in homage to the first commercially available spaceship equipped with the Quantum drive, the Zeus, built by Roberts Space Industries in 2140. The Zeus Mk II has a passing resemblance to the original Zeus, with a more angled design.
P.S. The updated MFD tech showcased towards the end of the video is incredible. Each manufacturer gets a different style!
