The way I understand it, they used Project Phoenix money to fund Tiny Metal because the Tiny Metal KS failed, and will use Tiny Metal income, if the game sells well, to fund Project Phoenix. If that's how it is, it's unconventional, and not very honest, but it's legal, and if it gets the job done it gets the job done.
Did not want to post this in the Tiny Metal thread, because there's no reason to be negative about that game due to some gossip.
Back to Project Phoenix, I can see why people sent one million dollars for this game based only on art. It's pretty great.
