The melding of those two beloved properties was enough for me to get interested in Hover: Revolt of Games, and then its developers went and cited The Fifth Element as yet another inspiration. For as much junk as there is on Steam Greenlight, it's amazing what you can find.

The story sounds suitably goofy, but that's part of the charm here. You play as the member of a "Gamer Team from another world" who must recruit new members by performing tricks around town and eventually overthrow the government. Sure, whatever gets us out there.

I'm really liking how Hover looks from a first-person perspective, but there's also the option to play from a third-person view, if that's more comfortable. Super cool. This has been approved for release on Steam by way of Greenlight already, so no need to vote.

A gaudy amateurish imitation of JSR's godly artstyle.

Borderline disgusting character design.

Retarded anti-immersive setting and story.

You will have to locate and infiltrate in the control centers of the anti-video games propaganda, free the citizens confined by the authorities, get back the consoles confiscated from the population, and finally dethrone the new Mayor at the origin of this whole mess.

Bullshit-sounding control scheme.

Whatever your favorite controllers (keyboard / mouse or joystick) the game is designed for a quick start with a minimum of buttons.

How about zero buttons? That sounds like a fair minimum to me.

...

Another "indie" legend in the making.
