4.3.2 is coming by Thursday at the latest, could even be Wednesday, so it's last call to get this bundle. People on Reddit were pointing out in a couple of threads that it's 40k-inspired because of the skull and wings, plus the style of the picture. It's easy to believe because quite a few of their employees post about 40k on Twitter (and quite a few others including Jared post about D&D). I've saved those threads somewhere so when I find them I'll post them here, they have comparison pics. At any rate, this bundle gave me a bit of trouble. It has skulls, so it should be a Pirate outfit/paint. But it's gold so it should be for the regular Supreme Commander, who isn't a pirate.

In the end I decided to give it to the SupCom. I had no other choice since it's gold. But because of the skulls, he will only use it when visiting his pirate holdings, kind of like when Zelensky puts on army fatigues when visiting the troops. He's not a soldier, but he wants to show solidarity (and maybe also preen a bit). Same with the SupCom. He's not a pirate, but when visiting his pirates he can wear this. Plus he's supposed to be incognito, so it makes sense. We wouldn't want anyone in the verse to know The Cult engages in piracy. So shubn could e.g. use this stuff when visiting Nyx. But he could also use the Pirate SupCom stuff. Up to him.

So this bundle is exclusively for players who have spent or plan to spend at least $15k, and control entire systems including at least some pirate holdings (could be just a pirate base like Grim HEX, doesn't need to be an entire lawless system).

So I got a pack, and shubn has three. Let us know if anyone gets one.


P.S. That said, if the color really is as blue as it appears in the pic below, only shubn will be allowed to use it, so he may as well melt his extras. So maybe someone can check and let us know? You can buy and refund...

I am not too pissed if that is the case, because anyway he deserves it. He's Stanton Pirate Commander plus he owns a lawless system. It'd be really cool if he showed up to Nyx in this and Exiled was there to greet him in his blue Overlord suit.

I have reviewed my RSI account and note that I still have the True Valor, Clawed Steel & New Dawn Patch Bundles.

I did not report them back then as I bought them to melt for store credit and to "save" them in my Buy Backs, and ended up forgetting to do so.

As the New Dawn patch bundle paint will be utilised for an upcoming event, I will report these bundles as "Present and active" in my account hangar.

Do I recommend others buying it?

If you're a collector and buying everything, you don't need my recommendation. But if you just want one to use it... you probably won't be using it with us unless you decide to become our white Commander, since this is white camo, or unless we get a white Commander and you want to play as one of his personal Master Chiefs. So there MIGHT be a use for this bundle eventually, if/when we get a white Commander.

That said, his gun at least can be used by almost everyone, especially if you're playing a rank with an Individual Choice gun.

Also, keep in mind that it's obvious now that these bundles are always a good investment, and a simple way to get all of them for free is to buy two and sell one for twice the price a year later. But that's assuming you want to get into the trouble of selling this stuff on the various marketplaces. If anyone does sell or melt anything, please report it in this thread.

You still have 2-3 weeks to think it over regarding this bundle.

In the meantime, we have to start acquiring this armor in its various colors in-game. We need black above all, for the default Master Chief.

So about these, I was hoping they'd be black/gold so I could give them to all the Supreme Commanders, but since they're blue/gold they're all yours. Last year was Emperor's year with all the purple stuff, and this year it's yours. We're getting there, one year at a time.

The Aves is the main prize, as it's going to be your main Supreme Commander outfit. The other one can be one of your battlesuits if you want. Or it could be your bodyguards' armor, or you could mix and match pieces to create a battlesuit or bodyguards. We really need a dedicated thread per color/Commander to hash all these details out. I am planning to make them at some point.

I'll buy both bundles next month and report it here then. Another cool thing about them is the two matching backpacks that can be used with various outfits.

I don't see much reason for anyone else to buy these, even if you want to be one of shubn's Commanders in the future, since this is SupCom gear. Unless he does end up building a bodyguard from the heavy set. So basically buy only if you collect.

Just an idea of what it could look like if shubn made it his personal guard. We'll have 2 of them when he buys his (he's said that he will), and then he could give it to someone while wearing his Aves. Would be really cool walking around landing zones like this while playing the Darth Vader music over VOIP.

And we could be shouting "Make way for the Supreme Commander!" Could be a fun evening.

Here you can see how 4 of them would look lined up. It's impressive. And they aren't even wearing the matching helmet, which would be even more impressive.

I have 1 and you have 3, so we could recreate this. And with you in the Aves in the middle, it would be a sight to behold.

You could set up 3 boxes in your Nyx hangar, one with each full set plus gear (I'll do my own). And then when we have 5 people on, we gear up and do Sworn Enemies like this. You did say in your lore post [ > ] that you would personally oversee the mission.

You could also collect the Overlord Gilded [ > ] and wear that for the op, sometimes.

Wow CIG is going hardcore this year to shed their ultrapredatory FOMO practices. Good on them. Let me just say for the benefit of anyone thinking of picking something up that the Deadlock bundle with the camo Palatino will be used as Master Chief until we manage to obtain some Necropolis black sets, which might take a while. But shubn and I have it so people can just borrow it from us when they need it. It's not like we're running more than one Master Chief at a time. Still, someone might prefer to own it for the convenience, so now would be a good time to grab it in that case.
