I wrote:We are playing +R then. quash says it's the best 2D fighter ever, so why not. I was trying to avoid the deepest game, because then there'll be no catching up with the best players -- they'll just go deeper and deeper into the game to beat you, no matter how much you improve -- but I am gonna stop being a ninny and sit down to git gud.

I wrote:I invite all people who are interested in fighting games to join us for this, no matter how much they suck. I suck too, and plenty of other people, so you'll have opponents at your level no matter how bad you are. Play with us and we'll all improve.

We are playing the latest version on Steam, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R: http://store.steampowered.com/app/348550/

At €14,99 it's cheap as shit, and you can get it even cheaper at G2A: https://www.g2a.com/guilty-gear-xx-acce ... lobal.html

I got it from that seller Aravis with no problems for around €6, so you can untick the "G2A Shield" option and get it for the same price (the option is listed right under the price, and costs an additional $3.18).

Instructions for adding scanlines are here: http://culture.vg/forum/topic?p=28029#p28029

Haven't tried them yet, but they sound straightforward and look good.

I should be up for at least a few matches later today. Looking forward to this!

What would be really cool would be each player choosing a different character and sticking to him. Maybe we could play tournaments this way.
