The tarted up Spelunky and a cool-looking overhead co-op Lara Croft game for 600MSP each, among others. I got both. Spelunky I was planning on reviewing based on the demo, but for half price I said WTF and got it so as to give that retard Derek Yu a fairer hearing, and that Lara Croft game reminds me of the awesome Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, so I got it for the co-op mode once I am done with some of the biggger games. If anyone would like to eventually join me for that now is a good time to buy it.

The Humble Bundle is offering a pack of six/seven titles by those dependie bastards at THQ. (They usually sell packages of "indie" games.)

www.humblebundle.com

Right now, for one dollar you can get Darksiders, Metro 2033, Red Faction: Armageddon, Company Of Heroes, Company Of Heroes: Opposing Fronts and Company Of Heroes: Tales Of Valor. Pay the average price or more (right this minute it's USD 5.66), and you also get Saint's Row: The Third.

Alan Wake: Collector's Edition (bullshit, since it's digital-only), and Alan Wake's American Nightmare for practically nothing. I've skipped the last few bundles after the THQ one, since they were all "indie" tripe, but I am getting this one.

PROTIP: If you pay anything, fuck charities and send it to the game makers.

As mentioned in the Xbox 360 thread:

http://kotaku.com/existing-xbox-live-go ... -512305727

Owen Good wrote:Existing Xbox Live Gold members will begin receiving two free games per month until the launch of the Xbox One in November. The first two games will be Halo 3 and Assassin's Creed II. Fable III was already made free to Gold subscribers earlier today.

His wording is deceptive, because no one will "begin receiving" anything: you have to manually purchase these games from Games on Demand -- it's just that the price will be zero. And it looks like you'll only be able to do it until the next game becomes available, so it's a good idea to alert each other here when that happens. I already got Fable III just now, and I am looking forward to further games becoming available.

Last day to get Ass Creed II free on Live. Next month will see Dead Rising 2 and Crackdown.

I've never played an Ass Creed game yet, so I'll give II a spin for a few minutes just to see how it plays.

Dead Space, Dead Space 3, Crysis 2, Mirror's Edge, Burnout Paradise, and Medal of Honor for a minimum of $0.01. Pay more than the average to get Battlefield 3 and The Sims 3. The claim of saving $215 is a big exaggeration but this is still the best Humble Bundle I've seen yet.

The funny picture the site displays when you offer less than $1 is not present this time. I guess it doesn't quite work for EA.

I wonder how many years it would take to fully explore all these games. If they are anywhere near as deep as the typical grand strategy game, the answer could very well be "a lifteime".
