is creating animated maps for role-playing games and 3D printable scenery

He's making "$16,731 per map pack", and he deserves every dime. His trailer will blow your mind.

Animated HD battle maps for tabletop RPGs like D&D and other miniature games

I told you they are turning D&D into a videogame! Fantasy Grounds specializes in rules automation, Syrinscape in soundtracks, World Anvil in overworlds, Hero Forge in character creation, Dungeondraft in mapmaking, and this guy in ANIMATING maps (and BattleMapp in animating characters, among other things, and it and TaleSpire in 3D "maps"). The effect he achieves is astonishing. It feels exactly like a videogame, and many of the maps look and feel even better than MOST CRPGs. Seriously watch that trailer.

The most amazing thing is that he's not just making new maps from scratch, he's even converting maps from published adventures. If he was just doing new stuff, we'd still use him, but only for the Empire phase.

It just BLOWS MY FUCKING MIND. Seriously watch ALL these videos I am linking, don't miss a single one! And the way he's placing massive TVs flat on a table to use as battle maps is genius. That said, it's a regressive method, not to speak of the miniatures—though miniatures used this way versus flat tokens in 2D VTTs is a close call; they each have their pros and cons; but the major con is that you have to be face to face with the other players, which means the role-playing is shit, so all things told I prefer 2D VTTs with THIS GUY'S animated maps of course. And ultimately of course I prefer a 3D VTT like TaleSpire or BattleMapp, which however lack these incredible effects this guy puts into his 2D maps, so again it is a close call on what to use currently. So you basically use EVERYTHING depending on the situation, and governed by the CONTENT, as I have explained elsewhere in great detail.

Watch the above video too. Honestly if you don't watch it I don't know what to say. Just watch it dammit.

I am ready to send him money, but I am not sure what's the best way to go about it because there seem to be various ways. I'll look over his material carefully and try to figure out how to best approach it. My mind is still too blown to process all this properly. I just want to gaze at his maps for hours right now. The maps even seem to come with ambient soundtrack!!!
