Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin (Hard) with Archonus 1

I'll be honest, I was mostly interested in this game because I have a lot of nostalgia for the older Final Fantasy games and this game is perfect for people like me. I've only played a couple hours and there's already tons of references to all sorts of things across the Final Fantasy series. A lot of people are calling this game "Nioh 3", but the combat isn't really as complex. There's no stances to manage and you have a party of characters instead of just a lone warrior. There are also Jobs you can assign to the main character to give him different abilities, and you can mix and match two of them to suit your style. I'm playing Hard mode and it's definitely pretty challenging like the Nioh games but not as hard as them. The combat has a couple interesting ideas, like being able to absorb an enemy's spell or skill with a parry and store it to use later. The combat is really hectic and fun and I can't wait to unlock more of the Jobs and their abilities. There's also multiplayer, which I was surprised to find out! Chev already expressed interest in getting the game eventually. We should definitely co-op. The game does have a bit of performance issues. I'm not sure if it's the less than stellar internet connection I'm using my Shadow with, but there were some parts of the game that would chug really hard, mostly cutscenes. I didn't really experience much lag or chugging during fights, which is good.

I also have to say, I really like Jack the main character. He's extremely single-minded in his pursuit of Chaos and it's really funny: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSlrLaYqvp0
