One method I've found useful is to simply do a search on Pinterest with your race and class, for example:

https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/? ... e%20cleric

Clicking a specific image shows you similar art below it, too.

Another decent resource is specific art subreddits. A few I've found:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ImaginaryKnights/
https://www.reddit.com/r/ImaginaryAssassins/
https://www.reddit.com/r/ImaginaryWarriors/
https://www.reddit.com/r/ImaginaryElves/

A lot of Magic cards have good character art. The cleric art that icycalm posted in one of the D&D group chats comes from the card Fiend Hunter, for example: https://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/Card ... eid=274335

If you can't recall the name of a card, googling for something like "mtg wizard" (or whatever class you're interested in) will yield some relevant examples, and then googling the card name plus the word "art" will usually give you original, high-resolution versions of its artwork.

On that note, Legend of the Cryptids is also a good one to search up for fantasy character art. It's some TCG I've never heard of but it popped up a bit while I was looking. Not sure if it has a database but Google works.
