I watched this video. But didn't we agree to not look for vehicle and gear info outside the game? Yes, but this doesn't apply to upcoming or just-released content, and this just released. I want to be able to keep up with all the latest SC news and get hyped about them, and ships/vehicles/gear is 50% of the new stuff coming into the game. So bear that in mind when you read my reporting. That said, I won't go to the RSI site and copy-paste the specs here etc. I'll only do that when we find the store in the game that sells this. This is just a news update to get excited about a new vehicle being dropped into the game.

So this is an anti-air vehicle. You park it, and the gunner in the back starts shooting down everything that flies overhead (the driver also has a gun he can use, but the gunner has four, and they're also larger). And THAT'S how you hold your ground in Jumptown, as the YouTuber says several times. The event is not for "1st-level" dudes with no gear. If we had this monster, we would have been able to secure a little beachhead for ourselves, and make raids from there. Otherwise any passing ship will shoot down whatever you land on the ground. But note that there are only a few cargo ships that can carry this thing, so you're talking millions of credits for that ship and the Centurion. There simply wasn't enough time for us to buy all this unless we were focused on it daily since we got into the game. And even then it would have been tight, I think.

So I don't know what to do for this Saturday. I desperately want to try Jumptown again, but now that I know what it requires, it's discouraging. We'll end up spending all day accomplishing nothing again. But at least now we know what we have to do.

Using The Anvil Spartan To Attack Jumptown

Watch all the way to the end. This is PlanetSide 3. It also ties to what I said above about Jumptown and vehicles. This is how hairy it can get.

I bought a Greycat PTV buggy from Astro Armada in Area 18:

It costs around 5,000 credits, seats one driver and one passenger and fits into the cargo bay of the Avenger Titan.

Insane 4K pic of the Cyclone RC. You have to zoom in to see the detail. All in-game.

It's the best rover in a game ever. In fact every vehicle is the best in its category in a game ever. The game has the best vehicles in a game ever, and that's merely its THIRD-best feature.

It's pretty neat I think. I never liked the buggy, it's good that it's in the game but it looks too lame for my character, so this is a nice midpoint between it and the Cyclone. I wonder which will be faster. Some speculation from the thread:

Does actually look kinda cool, I wonder if it'll be for the racetrack or if they'll have both. Maybe PTV for arcade style battle racing, STV for traditional racing-focused time trials and heats?

BoatHack wrote:It looks cool but nerfing the cyclone's speed down to the tank's level for this to sell better was a scummy move by CIG

It's not scummy, it's good balancing, if that's what they did. They had to rejig the entire lineup to make a unique space for this new vehicle.
