The new update is about to drop, possibly any day this week, next week tops, and we'll all probably get 1 million aUEC to start the game with. I'll make another post about how we should spend all that to give us a headstart, but before I do that, I wanted to make a post about the bank. It'll simply be easier for us if we send our money to one of the clone accounts that we can use as bank, so that people can just log into that account and make withdrawals at any time without having to ask people to log into their accounts and send them money. This will also make it much easier for us to know our balance at any time.

So the Cult Bank is CULTCLONE-1. When the update drops and you log in to play your first session, please send all your starting money there, apart from a small amount for operating expenses. We'll need that starting amount to get us equipped with fighter ships for the Dynamic Events, and with industrial ships to make money.

Beyond that, you should be sending to that account whatever money you want to contribute to our org, while keeping in your account money meant for personal purchases. For example, if you plan to get a luxury Origin ship for yourself to unwind with it on your days off, keep that money in your own account.

I realize that the Bank will cost us some fees, but think of it as part of the operating expenses of running an org. The convenience we gain from the Bank will more than offset the costs.


TL;DR: Every time you SEND or WITHDRAW money from the Bank, post the amount in this thread PLUS the OVERALL BALANCE. This way we'll always know our balance just by checking this thread.

Ya the different this time is it seems to be 200k across the board. In 3.17 the amount you got was proportional to how much you played in the previous patch. They messed something up and a lot of people were getting anywhere from 50mil to 400mil.

That means a meagre 2mil between us, 3mil if we can get the money off the off duty CULT players too. That barely buys one Super Hornet. That said, I have a second one to give, plus I have my two Scorpiuses now, plus a Gladius, so if we just buy one Super Hornet, we should be good to go for the space events at least.

However, the first event might be a Jumptown, so then that money should be best invested in an A2.

So the best thing to do right now is just save up. Send all the money that you can to CULTCLONE-1 (the "Cult Bank"), and don't make any major expenditures. Once we reach about 5mil we can decide if we want two Super Hornets or one A2. Those are going to be our early-game choices.

Remember to report all transactions with the Bank in this thread, giving the amount you deposited or withdrew, plus the balance.

I logged in to CULTCLONE-1 to create the character, to make sure whatever we send doesn't end up in a black hole (no idea what happens if you send aUEC to an account which hasn't created a character).

The starting balance was 205,000 aUEC, and I sent 95,000 from my account as a test, then signed in to the clone again to check the balance.

Yes they're exact, transaction fees are paid on top of the amount sent.

The safest way of doing this is to send a friend request to the CULTCLONE-1 account from your account, then accepting the friend request after logging into the clone. This will then make either account selectable via the mo.TRADER.

Made a few more gear purchases for the clone, sent other people some money and sold a run of contraband from the Jumptown 2.1 event.

After Jumptown 2.1 today, I transferred 2.2 million aUEC. The balance is currently 4,017,640 aUEC.

I sent around 3.9M to myself to buy the Prowler stealth dropship. We'll use it to ferry troops back and forth to the Carrack from spaceports and the front, to keep the Carrack safe (which will become very important once I explain that from now on we'll be storing all gear on the Carrack; wait for a thread on this soonish). We'll also use it at the next Jumptown to go in only with a dropship, and also in the upcoming Ghost Hollow PVP mission that debuts with 3.19. It's like a battle royale every day of the week, it's awesome, wait for a thread on that too very soon. Moreover, I am giving my bulky armor to the next rank down and switching to the light alien-inspired armor that goes with the Prowler. Doing lots of experimentation now to figure out how all this will work.

I am still about 400k away from the Prowler, so if anyone can help, even if it's not the whole amount, send me the aUEC directly and tag me on Discord to let me know.
