This had been leaked and then teased for the last few weeks, and none of the images coming out of those leaks and teases had seemed attractive to me, so I wasn't paying attention. But the above episode that just dropped makes the thing look fantastic, and now I am definitely buying both versions when they come out, I think it is later today. I expect it to be priced around $50, maybe $60 or $70 tops, and there should be a 2-pack with a discount, which I'll get.

Keep in mind that new vehicles are typically OP until they get nerfed months later, plus most people won't have them because most people don't spend cash, which will make the ships even MORE OP. So we should definitely utilize however many we end up buying. If you aren't collecting LTIs like me, you can always melt older purchases and buy one or two of these with the store credit.

This is the original teased image, which made the ship look crap for me, which is why I wasn't originally interested:

Image

This is a newer image that makes it look cool:

And this is the badass missile version with the armored cockpit:

Image

Here you can see it in white rotating on a turntable, it looks fantastic from all angles: https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/co ... _turntable

Image

With us being... not so good in dogfights, imagine if 7 of us launched on 7 of the missile versions, I think they have 20 missiles each. 140 fucking missiles should kill anything in the air that bothers us, and then we land them back at the Carrack and take back off with our Arrows or Gladiuses. That's definitely a tactic we'll try once the Furys are in the in-game shops and we can buy a bunch of them with aUEC.

The shot we've been waiting for, the Fury swarm launching from an Idris. See pic descriptions for details
https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/co ... fury_swarm

Image
I counted 34 in the video, not all are showing in this shot, and the clip may not have shown all of them launching

Image
That's 3 in a Carrack

And we can probably fit 2 or 3 on the landing pad, so 5-6 in all per Carrack. Blows the fuck out my previous plan to land 3 Arrows on the pad.

14 in a Herc! FOURTEEN

mr_edgeworthvii wrote:The thing is, that's 14 packed in. While it's good for transporting, idk how viable it would be to load all 14 back in under combat conditions, assuming all 14 are still around to be loaded back up.

I feel like it'd be better to run 2 hercs with 7 each so you have the capacity to carry spare ammo and missiles.

Or better yet, get 6 or 8 in an a2 to take out some ground emplacements.

Lots of possibilities, I love it

Martinmex26 wrote:You are not thinking EMPIRE enough for this.

If the capitals are retreating because the fight is going poorly and they can't afford to lose more of the fleet, you sound the alarm for fighters to come back. You start jump preparations.

If the TIEs make it back: "Good on you buddy! You went to fight in the cheapest and most replaceable ship AND made it back? *Pats back* Maybe you will get a medal for this!"

*Jump preparations are complete*

If the TIEs don't make it back: "Sucks to suck, time to jump!"

Wizardein wrote:You sir are born a captain!

So anything between 10 and 20 in our 2 A2s. Do you see now why I say it doesn't matter how much money you spend on this game? The budget for what can be bought in it just keeps rising. They released ONE new ship, and a tiny one at that, and suddenly we could use... 20 of them. And note we don't need 20 players to fly them, you can just keep respawning in the Carrack and going out with more and more waves of ships. It's just a matter of how many FPS gear sets and snubs and Carracks you've brought along.

The massive glass canopy should be a treat to eventually experience in VR.

They are saying it's more maneuverable than the Arrow. So now this is the most maneuverable combat ship.

I'd like to know what the counter to it is.

Comes with 4 remote manned S4's on the corner and maybe a mil version with an automated point-defense system on top and bottom of a central "Conning tower" that runs vertically through the center of the ship. -VindexActual

JustHuman wrote:Well the Arrow is in the class of light fighter, this is a snub fighter. Much smaller with no Q-drive and smaller shields.

Jason Frost wrote:But like 100x the firepower. Makes sense. GG, CIG.

JustHuman wrote:You don't need power to the Q-drive, and the Fury have around the same power in weapons, thou less than the Arrow. The Arrow has 3 size 3, it comes with size 2 gimbles and 2 size ones gimbles on turret, the furry has 4x size 2 none gimbles. The Arrow also have 2 size 3 missiles, meaning it has more power there too. In fire power the Arrow wins.

They really outdid themselves with this one. The site, the commercial, and of course the ship itself are next-level standard. I have hardly seen a negative comment and the players are ecstatic. CIG done well and will rake in more millions than ever. And it's just a little snub lol.

The white paint will be great for me, and the green one for the officers, but the latter is only available in the Concierge store. I just made Concierge so I can get it for whoever doesn't have access.

This isn't an issue yet because most people won't have the Fury until the next update or two. At that point, we can start worrying about paints. Until then, all our Furys will have stock paint.

The one burning question I have about this ship is whether it will be spawnable at outposts. I think all snubs can be spawned there? If so, it'll be a huge timesaver, otherwise flying back and forth to the landing zone to load them up one at a time will be a bitch.

Either way, super excited to load all 6 of our Furys on the Carrack tomorrow. I think it can be done. The acrobatics we will see from this from experienced players will be unlike anything ever seen in a videogame. Probably even in movies. The possibilities it brings to the game are mindboggling. Even the designers have no idea.

Emergence!

It can be spawned at outposts, I just tested.

Terrific! We'll take all 6 tomorrow on the Carrack, and in future missions we'll take 2 Carracks with 12 of them.

P.S. The Concierge versions of the Furys come with complimentary military green paint, so I bought 2 of those and refunded the basic versions. Same exact prices, you just get the military paint for free.

WTF SEVEN. He says you can fit 9 but it "didn't end well". He says the optimal seems to be 7.

And you could still fit 3 more in the hangar. TEN PER CARRACK.

We only have 14 though so 7 per Carrack, plus a C8R in the hangar as usual.

We have to get a C2.

Finallist wrote:It's such a pain to launch or land them though as the gravity of the carrier ship glues them to the floor and the ceiling in the C2/M2 is barely high enough. Mine basically scraped across the floor.

Snougar wrote:Oh yeah its a huge pain in the arse. Definitely not practical. Though, disabling the proximity assists can help too with the stickiness.

Heshinsi wrote:The Carrack being able to fit 4-6 of these little stingers on top of the hangar bay (which has gravity) is nuts to me. You don’t have to worry about trying to get them out. You just have your mates run to their ship and take off. Then respawn back to the med bay if any of them die.

And that's why the Carrack is the best ship currently for these. Better even than the 890J, because you don't have to open a hangar to let them out.

Heshinsi wrote:I can't wait to see how many the Galaxy can hold on its rear cargo bay. Cause if I'm not mistaken the bay door opens vertically so easy entry and exit.

After-Pop7009 wrote:We did manage to get 27 on the 890 though, keen to see how many fit in the Reclaimer

Reddit is full of Fury threads. This one is a list of how many each ship fits:

If you cram it in every orifice on the Carrack, you can get 20 apparently.

Hello LX

This is a 10,320x4,320 pic, zoom in to see the detail:

This is dropping Monday most likely, Wednesday at the latest (because Jumptown starts Thursday, and since they're testing Jumptown this weekend in PTU, it means they plan to run it in 3.20, ergo 3.20 by Wednesday at the latest).

It should be about $55 like the others. I'll buy at least one to keep.

When it's added to in-game stores in about 6-12 months, it will be possible to buy a bunch of them so you can load them on an 890J and go racing with many lives. It's probably the most compact ship in the game, so it's great to have a racing variant of it to stack inside your racing transport. And remember, they can be spawned at outposts, so even if you only have one, you can be back in the action pretty fast if you park a Carrack or 890J next to an outpost.

Btw, we have half the cost of an 890J in the bank right now (we have 16M and it costs 32M). So if we keep saving, we could get it for a clone in a month or two, then we load our Furys and go racing.

Someone on Reddit said that this is the first racing ship CIG has made since 2016. Not sure if factual.

The quality is INSANE. The video team is doing better than real vehicle manufacturers' ad teams.

And even though they say "these aren't actors", I still thought they must be actors. After all, that's what the in-game company would say. But no, they're actual players! I only found that out from Reddit!

Show me one other game where a player can rise to be featured in in-game commercials.

Just one.

Let alone commercials that rival real ones.

If this isn't the ultimate in interactivity, what is? (My Battlegrounds, I know.)

P.S. Please note this is an IN-game commercial. This is lore, it's a commercial your character sees in the game before going to the dealership to buy the ship. eSports commercials aren't in-game, they're out-of-game because eSports worlds are tiny and wretched and lack the space for anything complex to happen inside the game.
