100 premium portrait frames have just been added to the Battlestore in celebration of the imminent completion of the Master of Heroes Tutorial and can be purchased for $10/frame at https://akbattlegrounds.net/w/multivers ... es-fantasy

Once purchased, the frames become account-bound and show up in your battleprofile. You can then use them on any of your characters or units, and they can't be used by any other players or NPCs.
Note that to access the store page you must be a Battlegrounds player and logged in at World Anvil (on some browsers you might have to log in twice before the login takes effect): https://www.worldanvil.com
Use, purchase and setting instructions can be found in the sidebar of the store page (scroll down past the table of contents).
If anyone has trouble accessing the page, let me know. Any questions, post them here.
This update was a hell of a lot of work but it was worth it; the frames are stunning. The preview below doesn't do justice to the detail and workmanship, you have to view them at full res in the Battlestore by clicking on them to really appreciate them. There is no other game, no other GM, that offer this breadth of content—even for an aspect so inessential as a portrait frame—and this level of commitment to aesthetic excellence.
Why do I go to such lengths? Because when you see these in the game, you'll understand.

My favorite, if I had to pick one, has got to be Pirate 4:

The swirling blood recalls the sea, the sword hilts make the frame look like a ship's wheel, and the single perfectly placed skull makes sure you know this is a lawbreaker, if the blood hadn't already clued you in. It's just a perfect little artwork and if I didn't already have a pirate character, I'd get one just to use it.
My second choice would be Royal 2:

I am just a sucker for noble artwork, what can I say. I'd have my pirate use it on his off days when mingling in high society back in the capital.
And finally my third choice would have to be Undead 2:

It just jumps out at you from the screen like nothing else. And the purple was an inspired choice by the artist because you never see purple in undead depictions, certainly not for lowly skeletons. I'd get a necromancer sidekick for my pirate, and the pirate would be trying to convince the necromancer to turn him into an undead pirate and the ship into a haunted undead ship. So eventually my pirate would also be undead and use this frame too. He'd probably kill the necromancer in the end.
But that's enough daydreaming for me. I am not a player in this game and I have work to do to keep it running at this level that allows for perfect dream-fulfillment, so I'll get back to it and I look forward to what adventures the players will throw themselves into when the MoH tutorial is done on day 8, and the 4X layer finally opens up to all players.
