EVGA gets into the gaming mouse market

Gaming mice are a dime a dozen these days, but EVGA is looking to stand apart from the crowd with its first entry into this crowded field. The company today announced the TORQ X10 gaming mouse with an 8200 DPI Avago 9800 laser sensor, adjustable weight, and nine programmable buttons.

The TORQ X10 has been designed for ambidextrous operation and includes Omron switches that have a lifespan of 20 million clicks. Other features include a metal base, customizable RGB LED lighting, 512KB of internal memory for storing profiles, and an adjustable palm rest so that you can find just the perfect fit for your hand.

But the feature EVGA is most proud about is the carbon fiber housing the wraps along the sides and to the rear of the mouse. EVGA’s Joe Darwin explained that the carbon fiber isn’t cheap to produce, but the custom design is something that hardcore gamers will appreciate.

Unfortunately, pricing and availability for the TORQ X10 isn’t known at this time, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as we find out more information. But don’t expect the mouse to come cheap due to its partial carbon fiber construction.
