Saw this meme and thought time for a proper Linux thread on Insomnia. If you remember, there was a big spat in here between me and a user called Joshua in the SteamOS thread on this subject, about a decade ago: https://culture.vg/forum/topic?t=4641

Joshua was the typical non-gamer non-worker Linux fan. Anyone who loves Linux doesn't play games, and isn't even a productive member of society, because if he loved games and/or was a productive member of society, he'd use Windows like the rest of us.

And of course everything I said in that thread came true, and a decade on no one really uses Linux.

Can this change in the future?

Sure buddy. Lots of things can happen in the future. But someone will have to put in the work to make Linux a productive OS that can run games and programs. And that's a LOT of work, that NO ONE seems interested in doing for some reason (maybe because no one will pay them to do it? Just a thought.)

The funniest thing of all, that if I recall I even mentioned in the SteamOS thread, is that Linux is SLOWER than Windows. Linuxfags' main argument is that Windows is SLOW, but how do they explain that games still run faster on Windows?

And the explanation of course is that Linuxfags are too lazy to put the work in to make their OS faster than Windows. So not only it doesn't run anything, but the little it does run it runs slower. Plus you have to compile the code yourself. Making the game run IS the game on Linux. Which is why only joyless fags like Linux.

So here's to another decade with no Linux anywhere near our games, or desktops. And frankly, even for servers I prefer Windows nowadays. It just works easier. It's probably faster too.
