[PS2] Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne

The US version is getting a reprint, that does not include the OST CD (which presumably the original version did).

Official sites galore:

http://www.atlus.co.jp/cs/game/pstation2/dds3/ (Original Japanese version)
http://www.atlus.co.jp/cs/game/pstation2/dds3-m/ (Japanese Maniax version)
http://www.atlus.com/smt/main.html (US version)

I am not sure exactly when the reprint is coming out. Play-Asia currently quotes shipping times (5-15 days), so it may already be out.

Sweet. I'm gonna buy a copy for my brother, it should be a nice gift for his homecoming from Iraq.

I've heard these games have a very loyal cult following of gamers. Is there any chance of an article or review to inform the rest of us?

He's a medic, so by rules of combat or some shit he's not allowed to shoot unless in self-defense. He also tells the family that he pretty much sits around on base and does nothing, but I suspect that he's just not telling us what's really happening for the sake of our mother's sanity.

They are JRPGs. I know you don't like these kinds of games, so you are not going to like this either.

Nocturne though is said to be among the better ones, but given the overall quality of the subgenre, that may not be saying much.

So finally we have a credible answer to Jedah's question:
http://culture.vg/reviews/in-depth/shin ... 3-ps2.html

Interestingly, the review was published around the time of our little exchange, but it took me omg five years to stumble onto it. Goes to show how important it is to know all the best sites on the internet and promote them as much as you can. Who knows what good reviews are being published right now on some obscure site that I'll only stumble onto in 2018.
