It's awesome that I can use PA Stats to track how many games people are playing and how they are doing. chevvy has been doing great the last day or so since his come back, I hope he has enjoyed himself:

http://www.pastats.com/player?player=79714

That said, jeff's probably the best 1v1 player among you guys. We should start inter-clan mini-tournaments at some point, to see what's what. We already know I am the best player, but who is number 2?

And with that said, I'll get to some practicing before the time of judgement against BRN and PAG in 2 hours and 34 minutes: http://www.twitch.tv/teamexodusesports

I'll post links to the videos of the matches and my comments about them later, but for now I'd like everyone reading this with a copy of the game to log into the PA forum (same username and password you use to log into the game), and vote Yes in this thread, and perhaps also make an encouraging remark, as well as "Like" my post there:

https://forums.uberent.com/threads/the- ... cle.67361/

If this works out it will result at the very least in a cool match to watch, with me leading the PA Gods to righteous revenge and glory, so everyone should benefit in the process. (And don't worry, I am not leaving The Cult since they'd never agree to have me as their leader for good. I just made the suggestion because I just had to: I really believe it would result in something never before seen and awesome.)

Thanks in advance for doing this for me, guys.

I am in talks with a top 50 player to join us (Uber league). He would bring at least a couple more people that he is teaching with him. We might try some practice games next week together, and he likes my ideas for strategy and has his own as well. If this works out we could become a serious threat for next season.

€20 2v2 Clopsey Tournament.
https://forums.uberent.com/threads/%E2% ... ent.67396/

The money is a prize, not an entrance fee.

Saturday 24th january 19:00 UTC ish.

Let's see how many and which people want to join, and then we can divide them into teams if necessary. I am definitely in.

You can post in the thread to tell clopse that you and I are in, and maybe we'll have a team or two more soon. Might as well be you making the posts in that thread, so people see there's other active members in our clan besides me.

I've signed us all up:

http://exodusesports.com/tournament/clo ... o/players/
http://exodusesports.com/tournament/clo ... /brackets/

This would be a good time to start getting some posts in on the PA forum, recoil. Go in that thread and tell them that we have two teams now and to change the name of the first one from The Cult to Cult A.

And there's still room for a third and fourth team. If anyone's interested you can also PM iban since he doesn't check the forum often. He played on LoC so he might play on this too. I'll also link fede and Deletive to this post. It's a good opportunity to face a couple of lower- or similar-skilled opponents for the sake of getting your confidence up and racking up a few percentage win points on the Exodus website so that our rosters won't look so pathetic.

I completely forgot about about some plans I made with a friend for a potential Saturday night out so I might not be able to join this tournament after all. I should know if I can definitely make it by this evening. Sorry guys.

They changed the time to 10PM UTC (still Saturday), so unless someone tells me otherwise I will assume everyone's still in. Otherwise we'll rearrange the teams.

Lots of new people have been joining the clan recently, so we had 7 people on Mumble at some point today, and after one of them dropped out we played a couple of 3v3s between us. Me, Robby and iban on one team, jeff, Masa and gmase (new player from Madrid who joined today, but has 100+ hours on the game) on the other. We took the first game and they took the second, and I was definitely itching for a rematch after that, but I had to get some rest. In the first one they were pathetic, and in the second one we were.

Bottom line is that, apart from matches against the other clans, which are hard to come by, this is my preferred mode of play now: internal matches between us. The randoms are unplayable at this point. You can do ranked 1v1s to get matched with equal opponents, but for anything higher than that I'll be mostly sticking with internal matches.

I will keep recruiting new people until we can do internal 10v10s every day of the week, and then fuck the MP lobby, I won't need it anymore. I just need to learn how to set up our custom server for the 10+ player games.

The beauty of playing like this, apart from getting rid of all the headaches the randoms bring with them, is that I can balance the teams to make every single game challenging for everyone. We can really progress if we keep attacking each other like this. In principle I would prefer to only play against outsiders, but since it's so hard to find co-ordinated opponents at this level, I'll take the slightly inferior option that I can get.

If we get enough players (say 100+) we could even divide ourselves into 2 rival subclans, without mixing players from them into a single team, so all our matches would have the added benefit of a real rivalry. We would only come together for the tournaments (or practice sessions right before them).

Plus no 30-minute lobby waiting times. This approach solves so many problems. We just need enough players to make it work, so invite as many people as you can and we'll try all of them out.

New Clan Wars message, I'm sure this one is directed at icy, lol.

TO ALL CLAN WARS REPS

First of all I wish to thank everyone who made the smooth running of yesterday's event possible, we had next to no delay getting games started and it's appreciated.

Please can you remind your teams of the rules eXodus has governing acceptable behaviour. While I understand that sometimes a game, or things you see in chat, can be frustrating this does not give cause for players to use terms such as "retarded" in the chat or live interviews. By participating in this event you are representing both your wider clan and eXodus eSports, and so we ask that you maintain a level of professionalism throughout. Per the rules any complaints or concerns should be directed to event staff.

Thank you for your time.

Quitch

You should start thinking about using more PC terms like mentally challenged, differently abled, or learning impaired. For instance, the statement

"PAG went full retard when they dropped that nuke on themselves"

turns into

"PAG went full differently abled when they dropped that nuke on themselves".

He had already sent me a PM on the PA forums about this. I just sent him this back:

I wrote:recoil passed on to me your latest message to the clan contacts, and I have a question for you. Did you notice that Zaphod said "screw them" at some point, directed to the players in the chat who were trashing me and my friends?

I don't mean to put Zaphod in hot water over this: the man is awesome and his kindness and generosity towards us have been astonishing and are almost reason enough to continue participating, even if the event itself were not as awesome as it is, merely so as to not let him down. All I mean to say is that "the cross" that you said I should get off the other day is not something I hallucinated. It is simply the truth that people hold me to a much higher standard of conduct than they do anyone else, simply because they don't like me. Everyone likes Zaphod, so when he says that we should "screw them" no one bats an eye. But when I say something similar, everyone falls on me to eat me alive. And then it is only natural for me to resent being told to be more "professional" by people who fail to hold themselves to the same exacting standards as they are trying to impose on me. And where does this entire cycle of resentment begin? It didn't begin with me, and it sure as hell didn't begin with Zaphod. It began with the retarded viewers, who have no idea what it is they are watching, or how to properly respond to it without making utter asses of themselves. It is their misconduct which provoked my misconduct and Zaphod's, and not the other way around.

Anyway, I am not suggesting you are doing anything wrong, or that you should change anything. I just had to get this out. I will censor myself from now on, or I'll just sent recoil or someone else to do the interviews, as I'd been doing up to now (and for precisely this reason). The problem is that the other guys do not know as much as I do about what we are doing, so if you want the most interesting interviews and the sharpest answers you'll need me to do them. Otherwise I can just send Qpo again to tell you how hot our girlfriends are or something.

I wrote:Moreover, I resent the fact that your obvious scolding of me went out to all the clan contacts (all of whom know exactly who you are referring to), but my reply to that is going only to you. If I post it in the Clan Wars thread people will call me an asshole. So what choice do I have to get out my side of the issue? I have no choice, but to swallow this down and say nothing.

You had already sent a message to me, and I had already replied that I am sorry and I wouldn't repeat my mistake. Was it so necessary to forward this message to everyone else too?

So Zaphod's remark was not professional, my remark was not professional, and your handling of the situation was not professional either. We are all in the same boat (maybe because none of us are really professionals?), but in the end only I end up coming off as the "bad, unprofessional guy"... to your retarded viewers.

Anyway. Not all viewers are retarded, and the game and your events are awesome, so I'll try to think of these and forget about my boiling resentment.

I got sick of a dozen retards trolling a thread of mine with impunity and PMed jables to ban me from the forum. It's the third time I ask for this, and I am hopeful this time it will happen.

I also got disgusted with Quitch, to the point where I don't want to go on their interviews again, and maybe not even to their events.

I don't know what I am going to do. At the end of the fucking day, why do I need to wait until I am an old man and Exodus starts running 10v10 events? Why can't I simply gather 100 people from the MP lobby on my Mumble and my custom server, and play whatever games I want on them? Why do I need any of those asshats?

I saw Quitch go online, and he didn't bother answering my PMs. That's how he is, the "professional" tournament organizer. I am tempted to tell him we are withdrawing for good from all his events, but I am going to do something uncharacteristic of me and sleep on it before I make a rash decision. But honestly, without some kind of formal apology I don't see myself going back there, either to the forum or to their "professional" events.

PM from me to jables and all the mods:

I wrote:And whoever keeps deleting my second misnomers thread, you can delete it now and I won't be remaking it. I was just being annoyed by your shitty moderation and didn't have another way to vent my frustration. I am this close to posting porn or something. Quitch wrote:Clan Wars does not have a withdrawal mechanism, so the only option would be for The Cult to not play their games, which would lead to them forfeiting said games. Failure to attend would also mean that The Cult would not be eligible to enter season 2 as I don't want to waste the time of people at eXodus working on organising things for clans that won't see their commitments through to the end.

I recommend you sleep on it.

I wrote:Can we at least not do the interviews? I don't want to read the forum, or the Twitch stream, or have any other kind of interaction with the PA community apart from on the battlefield. Is this possible?

Quitch wrote:That we can do.

I wrote:Okay. Let's give it another shot then.

Meanwhile, the tragicomedy with the mods continues:

I wrote:My legitimate thread remains locked because I am being systematically harassed by this forum's moderators: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/misn ... ber.67429/

Hateful trolling posts are not being removed while my replies to them are being removed.

Unless this situation is fixed within 24 hours, I will start posting porn in the main forum until you have no choice but to ban me. I might even get my entire clan to start doing this.

All I am asking for is for the moderators to either do their job properly or ban me. I hate having to resort to such petty means to get you to act like decent human beings, but I will if I have to.

Bottom line is we are cutting all ties with the PA community. If anyone wants to post in that forum again they'll have to leave the clan. If Quitch continues not minding us playing in Clan Wars we will continue playing, but without interviews, and even without any lobby or in-game chat with the other players. A single gl hf before the game and a single gg afterwards is all they are going to get from us, as it is the minimum amount of courtesy that we'll give to everyone, not because they deserve it, but because there are a few decent people among them and I wouldn't feel right not even giving them that much.

The single exception is this thread: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/sett ... min.67384/

I want someone to make a post at some point (I'll tell you when) explaining that we left the forums except for that thread, and that we want the mods to keep it free of trolling so that we can continue seeking out opponents for large team games. As long as the mods play ball we'll use the thread to post videos of 7v7s and 10v10s and so on, and keep bumping it as a means of attracting large teams that want to face us. No one else is setting up such games (I don't even think there is a single YouTube video of a match with such a format), so it will at least bring something new to the community.

Which brings me to something else. Boggles from the AC clan wants to do a 7v7, probably on Sunday. Who's up for this? I've withdrawn from the 2v2 tournament. It'll be lame compared to the 7v7s anyway (we'll play at least two of them, one on a system of theirs and one on one of ours, and they'll stream them).

I don't care if people are beginners. I'll use anyone to fill up the 7-player roster. If more than 7 players can make it, we are playing two matches so up to 14 can participate. If you show up, you'll play. Make sure you have at least 20 hours in the game so you know the basics.

I don't have a time yet, but who is generally in for Sunday? I need to have a ballpark number so I can tell him we can probably play.

And recoil, can you try running the custom server for a couple minutes today on your own, just to see if the procedure that colin gave me still works, after all the updates that have happened since the last time we tried running it? No point setting up a 7v7 match if we can't get our server to run...
