He most probably means colossi, since there's at least two that are comparatively small and fast.

Now the hyperculture of the master race has created a consciousness of how important the rearing process us, and how costly if it is to be done right, so even when members of the master race reproduce, they only create one or two descendants, as opposed to the constant mindless shitting out of fetuses that they used to indulge in when they were uncivilized, or indeed that the subhuman races still continue to this day.

Needless to say, as any observer of the industry with a quarter of a brain can figure out, this position has no relation to reality whatsoever, but the exact reasons why adventure games nevertheless did indeed die will take a lot of experience and insight to discover, which is were I and this essay come in.

For if is extremely difficult to immerse yourself in a world, like say Shinobi's or Contra's, where the backgrounds are zipping by faster than you can make them out.

If action movies were made like 2D action games, they'd unwatchable.

Adventure games really were the first games were the designer made an effort to make the player BE the character

And that’s why HTC and Oculus are busy funding HTC Rocks to jump over in Far Cry or Vive Laptop Backpacks to carry around in the desert with the other losers.

It should be "aren't", unless this was sarcasm (the rest of the paragraph isn't in a sarcastic tone).

It's meant sarcastically. You should expect sarcasm everywhere in my writings. What came immediately before has nothing to do with it. I can switch attitudes even within a single sentence.

Also, maybe you should replace all instances of "motion sensing" with "motion-sensing", for consistency.

icycalm wrote:To repeat, because this is an extremely important point that can't be stressed nearly enough: all the mechanical parts required to hook up the gun have been available since before the industrial revolution, and the code to make it work with your PC or console from the invention of digital computing, so videogames have been able to make a player cry more than any other artwork since the very first game: since Spacewar in 1962.

icycalm wrote:We should not let this effect, however, cloud our attempts to evaluate games on their own merits — i.e. without the confusing effects of this phenomenon. For if roulette — a pointless, stupid game on its own — becomes utterly fascinating and gripping via the addition of a money pot, StarCraft becomes even better, since StarCraft on its own is about a million times better game than roulette.

Shouldn't the last sentence read "StarCraft on its own is about a million times a better game than roulette"?

icycalm wrote:You can see, by the way, how mentally unstable and stunted people would be affected far more by such art than healthy mature people, and that's what's happened when you hear of someone sending letters to the producers of a TV show asking about what's happening to the characters between episodes as if they were real, or crying about their fate on YouTube and so on.

Also, I think "healthy and mature people" would read better.

I think it should be "proper psychology begins", "Jung", and "proper game theory begins".

I'll fix the name when I move it over to Orgy, but the rest is fine. You just need to start reading books at some point to improve your literary ability, which seems stuck at the level of middle school.
