Thanks for the offer but we already have Masahiro as a fifth, if needed, who hasn't played the games already.

lol, new problem:

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/i ... -dead.html
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/ ... =Windows+8

Not compatible with Windows 8.

Am I the only one with Windows 8 in the group? I'll try installing it now and let you guys know. Look for a solution for me too, if you can.

Other options are the two Diablolikes I posted about in the other threads, or 6-player Killing Floor, which again apparently doesn't support Windows 8, but which this dude says he found a way to make it work on it:

Maybe the same solution will work on L4D? Stay tuned for the next chapter of this gripping saga of one man's journey to finally play L4D.

Who's up for Sunday? If we have the whole team, we'll play this. If not, I'll try to get Original Sin running with Qpo and the other guys.

It will be tough for me to wake up that early. I just woke up, for example (6PM over here). But I will do it for zombie apocalypse glory. I'll try to sleep very early today.

It looks like there's no saving in L4D: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=270753

MichaelD wrote:I bought L4D not knowing it was mainly a multiplayer game. I'm not into multiplayer so I was relieved to see it had a single player mode.

I loaded it up last night and played for two hours and was happy. Being that the "safe rooms" function as checkpoints I though I was good to go.

I loaded the game just now and there's no "load save" or "continue from last checkpoint option. :Q

I really hope I'm missing something...I tried F5-F10 (no effect). Is there REALLY no saving your progress in the single player campaign?

I don't understand how this shit works. So you can choose to start at any checkpoint in any level at any time? I can't think of any other game that allows this.

If we don't hear from Qpo in the next couple of hours I probably won't go to sleep very early, so I am not sure I'll be able to make it for 1PM UTC tomorrow. It takes a lot of effort for me to force myself to sleep early, and I don't want to do it for nothing if the game is not confirmed.

Sorry for the short notice, but I'll be ready to start at that time.

Sounds to me like we have to start over at the beginning. I don't mind this though as we're a lot better now, so catching up shouldn't be too hard, and maybe we'll have better health this time when we do. It kinda sucks since we had just reached new territory though. (In Serious Sam: The First Encounter I like to start over to get some momentum when I've been stuck somewhere for too long.)
