[360] Magna Carta 2 / II

Microsoft's official site is still listing this game for a 2007 release, but no one seems to know anything about it and it's the middle of December.

http://www.xbox.com/ja-JP/games/calendar.aspx

The only info I've managed to find are some circa 2005 announcements:

http://watch.impress.co.jp/game%2Fdocs/ ... /magna.htm
http://www.dengekionline.com/data/news/ ... 354ea.html

Softmax's site doesn't seem to have anything either:

I hope this doesn't disappear like Homura 2 did. Those pesky Koreans!

The game has been completely removed from Microsoft's release schedule...

... and has now re-appeared at the very end of the schedule with the release date marked "未定", which means "not yet fixed".

bullethell wrote:Good news. The Trinity Rings battle system of the first game is out and the sequel has a new one. So maybe this will be better and maybe we will be able to enjoy Kim Hyung-Taek's awesome character design without having to suffer through boring battles.

A few words about the new battle system:

Softmax wisely scrapped the Trinity Rings from Magna Carta: Tears of Blood. Famitsu reports the combat system in Magna Carta 2 is new and makes use of the environment through field attributes.

After a real-time field to combat switch players control a leader character while the computer takes care of the other party members. Leaders can be changed at anytime and there is a benefit to a swap. Team attacks from the chain system can be used after a leader change. Linked attacks between hero Juto and heroine Zephie may not grab your attention, but Magna Carta 2 has some cool looking encounters like this fight against a monstrous worm.
