The first game had many serious issues, but I enjoyed it all the same. I've got great hopes for the sequel. (At least it hasn't been farmed out to incompetent Western developers cough*deadrising2*cough.)

Seems like it's 360-exclusive for now.

PS3 co-op videos. The constantly depleting T-ENG is intermittent this time, altering the most interesting mechanic of the first game. It seems to drop continuously after being hit by an enemy or when a giant fucking monster swallows you whole.

I had mentally connected this series with an ice/snow setting, so these tropical jungles are a bit of a letdown. Also, though technically it looks great, I am not liking the art design very much. It lacks coherence. Zeppelins, utlra modern armor and weapons, and weird monsters -- they just don't quite match.

Also, there will also be a PS3 version, apparently. Probably a port, as in the first game.

This is Cacophanus' review that that idiot I recently kicked out of the site told me was the best review of the game available right now (see here):

http://www.mechadamashii.com/reviews/re ... net-2-810/

It's rubbish. Cacky's stuff just gets worse and worse with time instead of better, and he is now refusing point-blank to even consider any of my comments and advice. I have an email exchange with him from a few months back in which he comes off as completely and utterly retarded. EVERY OTHER fucking sentence it's "functional this and functional that" as IF THAT ACTUALLY MEANS SOMETHING. He's like the Ghetto moron who keeps repeating the word "narrative" for some reason. "icycalm's narrative, indie narrative, mane streem narrative" -- for fuck's sake shut up please! It's like each of these retards' rabbit brains can only hold onto a single word, and they keep repeating it every other fucking sentence, even when it's totally inappropriate for the context, because that's the only complicated word their brains can process. In Cacky's case he's sounding more and more like a robot with each passing day. Which is hilariously fitting considering the kinds of games he's covering, but it's still depressing to watch.

About the LP2 review, I don't even know where to begin. Let's leave aside for starters the terrible quality of the writing and horrible diction and punctuation: He obviously played the game alone which means his ultimate judgement is probably stupid. Then he makes blatant factual errors. Your T-ENG DOES get depleted while in a VS (though probably not outside of it if I am not mistaken) -- there are entire missions where that's the whole point of them!

Cacophanus wrote:Entering a Vital Suit is also no longer penalised in terms of T-ENG consumption either, which makes the mecha combat all the more engaging as you can hold onto a VS for as long as your skill will allow.

lol did you even actually play the game? Or let me rephrase it in robo-speak so that you may understand it: lol did you even functionally functionalise the functionality of the game's functions, you functard? The later stages especially are littered with objects that give you as much T-ENG as you like precisely so that you can actually use the VSes for longer than 5 seconds.

Cacophanus wrote:The narrative is also more balanced and as you play with the various factions across E.D.N. III, the plot unfolds in a manner not too dissimilar to something like Rashomon; with various viewpoints on the story culminating in a grand finale of sorts.

The narrative is "more balanced" lol. The narrative is "like Rashomon" lol. And your brain is like "a retard's" lol. What else can you reply to that? Not to mention the diction and punctuation. Which I might as well mention:

Cacophanus wrote:Data posts have to be activated by your or your teammates, upon activation they give you a boost of T-ENG, fill out the area map on the HUD and most important of all; give you an increase in the battle gauge currency.

He has not the faintest clue of what the semicolon is supposed to be for, and probably just throws it in every 4 or 5 commas just to make sure "there are enough semicolons in my reviews", lol. But even beyond that, the diction is so tragic he would have been better off just posting the entire review as a single gigantic run-on sentence.

I am not even going to nitpick the rest of it. Every paragraph is various degrees of stupid and horrible. I think I've got one review of his on the site, and when I get around to playing that game it's probably going to come down.
