No shit

This game isn't selling well, due to a combination of bad marketing by MS, Game Pass day one and releasing two weeks after Yotei. I'm an NG vet, I've 100%d the entire series including the OG2, this is 100% worth your time and for newcomers story-wise it's the best jumping-on point the series has ever had. You may be worried about the pricetag but if this game clicks with you, there are many playthroughs ahead of you. You can even unlock playing as Ryu for the whole campaign.
Games like this don't come around often, the last good one of its kind was DMC5. Let Team Ninja and Platinum know we want more games like this.

God of War 2018 style threat indicators? 2 new meters for ultra duper uber insta kills? Kindergarten tier rail grinding minigames? Giant empty levels? Uninspired art design? God awful UI? Sidelining and trivializing the protagonist in his own game, something that not even DMC4 did?
See, just adding a bunch of wannabe-cool animations, abilities and flashy autocombos doesn't make a game Ninja Gaiden.
I agree it may very well be a solid hack 'n slash game, but please don't call it Ninja Gaiden. The reason it isn't selling well is because it has nothing to offer to a huge portion of OG Ninja Gaiden fans (excluding you, of course), and it doesn't stand out enough to entice new fans. That's it. That's literally it. Nothing to do with marketing, day one Game Pass, or Ghost of Yotei (which is a joke, I don't know why any game would feel threatened by Yotei of all things). NG4 is just... boring and derivative.
And for every one of you "OG fans" praising the game I can find twice as many hating it for just how much it has deviated from the core Ninja Gaiden formula. You can add stuff without changing the essence of Ninja Gaiden. That's what NG1, 2, and 3 did. But this? It's just a convoluted mess.
It does look playable if you have nothing better to play, but yeah. What the last guy said.
