I don't remember seeing the first game, but this looks like a major improvement graphics wise. Not too much of a fan of the art style, it looks like a children's coloring book. Looking at the first game, it seems to be a simplified version of Thea, especially if you can only manage one expedition force. Competitive multiplayer fits well with the theme. I hope they have some nice surprises for us in future trailers and reveals.
