The Mise-en-jeu

Unread postby icycalm » 10 Jan 2010 14:57

From the thread I linked earlier today, it seems that some of the fagots on Select Button, after looking at the contents page of my upcoming books, have arrived at a bizarre theory that my term "mise-en-jeu" is a term with which I plan to replace the non-term "gameplay".

what was icy's substitute for gameplay anyway?

The index of his upcoming self-published books had a mention of a "mise en jeu"

Their inferrence in plain English is basically this:

1. "He has explained why gameplay does not mean anything and is useless."

2. "He has demonstrated that the above is true in practice, by writing a gazillion reviews and in-depth articles without ever using this non-term, nor substituting anything else for it."

3. "THEREFORE, he plans to replace it with another term, a term which he will introduce in an article SITUATED ALMOST RIGHT AT THE END OF HIS ENTIRE THEORY OF VIDEOGAMES."

My advice to the SB fagots: For the love of God stop thinking.
