They announced the formats recently, and it turns out this isn't coming out on 360. Which is interesting, considering that so far the 360 seems to be the console of choice for shooter fans (Raiden IV, Shikigami no Shiro III, Treasure next -- am I forgetting anything?).

These screens really deserve to be seen in their full 720p glory, so I cannot recommend strongly enough that everyone visit the official site and check them out. I am not convinced yet that the artwork has any merit, but from a technical standpoint this is a very impressive-looking shooter.

looks great... if it plays as good as it looks, that would be awesome.

However, I'm reminded of some pretty Amiga and PC shmups of the past that looked stunning but played very crappy. I just hope this isn't one of those.

Actually, that's exactly what this looks like.

From the press release (emphasis is mine):

* unique upgrade weapon system and never before seen tactical elements such as chaining, effectiveness system, 'berserker' mode and much more
* plenty of hidden bonus features and more than 20 extras (with both positive and negative effects!)
* addictive collection quests and over-the-top boss fights

I think that, in the very best case scenario, it will be mediocre.
