[AC] Akatsuki Denkou Senki AC

Following the Melty Blood model, the arcade version of the popular high-res doujin fighter Akatsuki Denkou Senki (also known as Akatsuki Blitzkampf) will be revealed in the next Arcadia.

With this, Arcana Heart 2, Sengoku Basara X, and the already well-established Accent Core, it seems that Japanese arcade goers will be spoiled for choice when it comes to 2D high-res fighters...

I've only looked at screens so far and I haven't bothered reading up on it. I guess I should do that now and start a thread.

In GaijinPunch's latest write-up (about deathsmiles!!) there is a short video of it -- It looks exactly like Hokuto no Ken: Pretty, hi-res, lack of animation frames, silly combos.
I know I shouldn't be condemning it without really seeing it in action, but my heart was crushed the instant I saw the game in action.
I miss the old Capcom, I guess.

I'll check the video later. But you know, choppy animation aside HnK would have been a good game if it wasn't so badly broken. If Basara is similar but glitch-free it will do very well in arcades. But yeah, if you miss Capcom you miss Capcom -- Basara is all Arcsys.

Anyways, Akatsuki AC scans:

Arcade hardware unknown.

There was a location test between the 23rd and 25th:

And a recent "scan" reveals that the game will be running on the Naomi in cartridge form:

i call bloody murder if we don't get a dc port, then.
i don't give a damn if they aren't printing gdrom any longer - find a way!

me and a couple friends have been able to extract enough fun from the pc rev that i'd drop the bones for a dc version so we can rock it on the comfy of a couch rather than couped up around a monitor.

even if the game's not the greatest fighter i've played, it's solid enough to bring the smiles.
