Official pages are up:

The port is being developed by Gulti, of Mamonoro fame. Or should I say infamy.

Sweet action.

I'm a whore for Raiden Fighters Jet -- my favorite in the entire Raiden cannon. Be nice to have the ability to play this at home without having to fork over for the arcade board (which I'd never do -- I like Jet best, but I'm not a huge enough Raiden fan to splurge for a board).

Isn't Raiden IV also supposed to land on the 360 some time in the future?

Yeah, the Raiden IV port completely dropped off the radar. Very nice game too.

When games on "retro" compilations are easily emulatable my enthusiasm really drops, and like everyone else here I'm not a fan of upscaled 2D gfx. Ah well, if there's co-op Live play then I'm sold.

I prefer RF2 to RFJ. You get actual stages instead of thirty or so short enemy barrages!

Sure, the Raiden Fighters games are emulated, but isn't the sound still crap?

An update from GP, with his usual colorful commentary:

Gaijin Punch wrote:Gulti has made a blog update and given some info on their sales strategy of the upcoming Raiden Fighters Aces.

-Sales will be handled by Success, whose experience lead to releases such as Psyvariar and Cotton.

-Package will include all three games, and the INH superplay DVD.

-Why the Xbox360? It was the "obvious choice" when considering what hardware could reexpress its finely detailed bitmaps. [Remember, these are the people that are co-developing the only shooting game in recent years to look as shitty as a Triangle Service game].

-All three titles are ports, NOT emulation. Sound as well, will not use emulation. There will also be new elements added.

-INH DVD will have some edits, as well as audio commentary.

Hey, hey, rad to hear they are ports instead of emulated ROMs.

Thanks for the update.

A US release is confirmed for next month. Better late than never, eh?
