They added an overmap, which will presumably lead to different-themed stages (Egyptian, Greek, Japanese, etc.), one of the things the original could have used.

Nice little trailer. Apart from the overworld aspect, which I am still not sure how it works, they seem to have made the rest of the game only marginally more complex. I'd say that's a good thing, since I don't see how you could make it significantly more complex and still have it remain playable on the PSP (i.e. without a larger screen and a mouse). Training mode seems to be more detailed too.
