Artwork from Cave's mext shooter, apparently titled Switch, was shown at the company's last festival. Illustration work is being done by the guy who did Loveny no Ehon.

I am glad it's not a sequel. Glad also that Yagawa must be directing it. Ikeda's case of advanced sequelitis is getting a bit disappointing, the quality of the games notwithstanding.

Yeah, I lolled at that, but seriously, I stil fail to see how anyone could assume there's sexual interest intended in that character artwork. I mean obviously people can get off on anything (even shit and piss, as I've mentioned before), so of course someone could get off with those two little... "things" -- but there are HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of 16-bit era games which, as far as I am concerned, are far, far, FAR more sexually suggestive than this.

I don't know, perhaps my tastes are too old-fashioned.

At any rate, I'll let those two images stay there until everyone has seen them and had a lol at them, but then I'll turn them into links because they uglify this thread too much.

Not with such a childish protagonist (unless you're counting doujin stuff). Anyway it seems this will be a game for mobile phones, which makes more sense... somehow.

Checking Cave's list of mobile games, this seems to be their first truly original STG. I am also surprised to see half a dozen others I hadn't heard of: Death Smiles Gaiden, Pink Sweets Coliseum and many others. It'd be cool to get a Japanese cellphone pre-loaded with Cave's entire catalogue (at about 300 yen a pop it would cost next to nothing) -- above all this and Loveny no Ehon. I might see if I can get someone in Japan to do me this favor. Then I'd play them and write mini-reviews of all of them.
