The Virtuix Omni™ takes virtual reality to the next level— allowing anyone to stand up and traverse virtual worlds with the natural use of their own feet. Moving naturally in virtual reality creates an unprecedented sense of immersion that cannot be experienced sitting down.

Applications of natural movement in virtual reality stretch far beyond gaming: training and simulation, fitness, virtual tourism, virtual tradeshows and events, meet-ups and multi-person adventures, virtual workplaces, museums, VR architecture, VR concerts… The possibilities are limitless.

Virtuix has completed a successful Kickstarter campaign thanks to more than 3,000 backers, and now offers the Omni for pre-order online. Access our online store here.

Wow, that FC3 demonstration sold me. And it's only $499! Plus $79 for the Omni Rack which sounds extremely helpful.

Order this supplementary accessory rack that can be attached to the support arms of the Virtuix Omni. The Omni Rack will hold your keyboard and mouse, controllers, and the Rift control box while you wander around in VR.

One downside is that it takes up quite a bit of space... And I can't see any info anywhere about the rifle that they are using for the FC3 demonstration...

Might also want to wait for Zuckerberg to step in.
