[PC] Strike Suit Zero

Unread postby icycalm » 22 Jan 2013 19:59

This one was brought to my attention by Recap a while ago, but I waited to post about it and in the meantime it's been finished and it's coming out tomorrow:

Y hablando de "Kickstarter", aunque quizás esto tenga al final poco de extraoficial o "amateur", Strike Suit Zero está aún plena campaña de financiación, con buenas perspectivas e ilustres japoneses en labores de diseño gráfico:

The mech/craft designer and the theme song singer are Japanese, and there's a lot of "Japanese Wing Commander" hyperbole flying around, but the simple fact that you cannot see A SINGLE human anywhere in all the artwork/screens/press releases means the claims are bullshit. At best, it might be a Japanese-themed X-Wing or something, but even that is stretching it since the Japanese would have had a load of characters in it etc., just simply without Wing Commander's structure. Even if this game HAS Wing Commander's structure (which the devs are saying it will, with branching paths, etc.), it will still not feel like a movie, hence it'll be nothing like Wing Commander.

Still, the gfx look cool, and it's apparently being made to work with the Oculus Rift dev kit which makes it really interesting for me since I plan to order one soon. Hopefully they will be releasing the Oculus code to dev kit owners and not just keeping it to themselves until the commercial headset comes out.
