>WHAT IS TECHNOLUST?
TECHNOLUST is a Virtual Reality Adventure set in a near-future Cyberpunk world.
The world and style of TECHNOLUST are inspired by 1980's and 90's Cyberpunk fiction like Blade Runner, Neuromancer and Robocop.
Virtual Reality technology such as the Oculus Rift allow a player to deeply explore a fully realized, living, breathing world and truly be present in the game, rather than just controlling an avatar.
Join the resistance and help bring down the oppressive corporations... or just hang out at home and watch a movie with your artificial intelligence. Go to the arcade and experience new worlds or hack into secure networks and fight to set the truth free. As in the real world, the choice is yours.
TECHNOLUST is being developed in the Unity game engine and will be released on Windows, Mac OS and Linux.
>THIS IS OUR WORLD_
In the early part of the 21st century, the corporations took control...
They bought our politicians. They took our intellectual property. They sold our world. Some have started to resist. The hackers, the pirates and the phreaks. This is their world now. The world of the electron and the switch, the beauty of the baud. Join the resistance and fight to set the truth free.

The revolution will be televised!
Three major events have shaped this near-future world into the twisted Cyberpunk dystopia it has become.
First was the advent of cheap 3D printing "replicator" technology, allowing anyone to create any product they desired from raw materials.
Second was the rise of fully immersive Virtual Reality, achieved via Neural Implants allowing users to both upgrade their minds with software and to "Jack-in" to a completely virtual world.
And lastly, corporate control of the above technologies as well as most other facets of media, politics and everyday life.
>GAMEPLAY_
Gameplay in TECHNOLUST is based primarily around story driven exploration. Virtual Reality affords great opportunity for immersive adventure, allowing the player to feel as if they are actually part of the game world. Our goal is to make everything interactive and enjoyable. Easter eggs and references pepper the world to keep the player interested. Clues are discovered and mysteries solved, guiding the player through the rich world and story. There is also a lot of emergent gameplay as a result of the environment design and interactivity. Collect movies and games to play at home, go to the arcade and experience whole other virtual worlds within the virtual world. TECHNOLUST is more than a game; it's a living breathing place.
>GAME FEATURES
Influenced by science fiction technology like the Star Trek's Holodeck and Total Recall's virtual vacations, TECHNOLUST is a story driven virtual world more than a traditional "game". Emphasis has been placed on environmental immersion, exploration, mystery, intrigue and awe.

>STATE OF THE GAME_
An early prototype of TECHNOLUST is available for download here:
TECHNOLUST - Windows 64 bit
TECHNOLUST - Windows 32 bit
TECHNOLUST - MAC
TECHNOLUST - Linux (Untested)
This is a very early prototype that includes the first few areas of the world. Gameplay is not necessarily indicative of the final product. This demo is simply to give people a feel for the world to let them know what to expect.
It is currently only playable with the Oculus Rift Development Kit, but a non-VR version may be made available in the future, as well as support for other VR head mounted displays.
Development continues as we speak. Become a backer and help make the world of TECHNOLUST a reality.
If anyone tries the prototype, let us know how it plays. The whole thing looks cool, but I am just dubious of the low budget and no-name writer (or writing team). This sort of thing needs a lot of talent and money to make it work properly.
Then again, early adventure games accomplished a lot without much of either, so who knows.
