Not only the big laser beams but also the the player ship's homing lasers behave suspiciously much like those in Border Down. Some designs, like the beam weapon itself (close-up at ~1:45) are also very reminiscent of it.

It reveals the release date for the game, which is December 24, 2009. It seems like there will be a limited edition pack as well:

What's interesting about it is the Darius Burst DX Pack Special CD, which features (among other tracks) a complete recording of Darius Twin's soundtrack (not that the music is any good, but still, interesting choice...).

For some reason, this will have an arcade version. Arcadia Magazine's latest issue has the exclusive, with the fact that it'll use a double panoramic screen format (32:9).
