Marvel Heroes (originally known as Marvel Universe Online and Marvel Universe) is a MMORPG under development by Gazillion Entertainment, under "Secret Identity Studios" in San Mateo California. The MMORPG will be similar to its sister game Marvel Super Hero Squad Online. Characters such as Iron Man, Captain America, Deadpool and Wolverine will serve as characters that players can unlock in the game. The lead writer of the game is Brian Michael Bendis, who has written a number of major Marvel comics. The plot will revolve around the super villain Doctor Doom and various Marvel superheroes. The game will be released in Spring 2013.

Does Marvel Heroes have to be played online?

Yes. Marvel Heroes is an action MMORPG, and must be played online. There is no ‘offline’ mode.

What will Marvel Heroes cost to play?

Marvel Heroes will be free-to-play. When you start the game, you will be able to select a hero from a choice of several, and play through the entire game for free, finishing the story. You can earn most of the heroes and costumes just by playing the game. However, as you play, you may optionally choose to purchase other heroes, alternate costumes, and a variety of other items to enhance your gameplay using in-game currency known as ‘Gs’.

What is the Marvel Heroes Founders Program?

The Founders Program is a chance to buy characters, costumes and other items at a discount before the launch of Marvel Heroes. Buying a Founders Pack also allows you to get early access to the game and play before Marvel Heroes officially launches.
