Acquire’s recently teased PlayStation Vita game is called Mind Zero (stylized MIND≒0), the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals.

The game, developed in collaboration with Class of Heroes studio Zerodiv, is a dark and stylish school dungeon RPG featuring character designs by Kyo, scenario by Kushinachiminato, and sound by Zizz Studio.

The game will have two worlds—a crazy mental one and a physical one—and players can use special MIND (Mental Inside Nobody Doll) powers to call forth Stand-like things. It will also have fully voiced scenes, 3D battles, and 2D adventure game-like conversation scenes. When you hit enemies, you’ll see onomatopoeic words like “Barin!” and “Zugyan.”

Settings include Akihabara, Yokohama, Amamiya, and Nippori. It should be noted that these are written in kanji different from the names of the actual areas in Japan.

Find a set of characters and their voice actors below:

> Yue Kotori (小鳥遊慧) (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita) – The protagonist. He’s cool and caring.

> Sana Chiaki (千景さな) (voiced by Rina Satou) – The heroine. She enjoys physical activity, is loyal, quick to act, and relied on by everyone. Her MIND is a half-naked Elf-like thing.

> Shishi Ahina (朝比奈獅子) (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura) – An endlessly cheerful dope. His MIND is frightening.

> Youichi Okata (緒方陽一) (voiced by Takehito Koyasu) – A detective. His MIND has yet to be unveiled.

Development on Mind Zero is currently 70 percent complete. The game is due out this summer for 6,279 yen in Japan.

Acquire and Zerodiv have provided first details on Mind 0‘s “stylish MIND battle” system. The heroes of the upcoming PS Vita RPG utilize Persona-like counterparts called Mental Inside Nobody Dolls—or MIND, for short—during combat.

LP and MP

Two of the player’s three gauges:

> Life Points (LP): Indicates the physical strength of the pyer.
> MIND Points (MP): Indicates the MIND energy of the player.

High Attack Power

When your MIND is summoned, unlike normal attacks, you will be able to deal a greater amount of damage to enemies.

MIND Guard

When your MIND is summoned, your LP will decrease as you fight and hold back enemies. Your MP will also decrease.

MIND Break

When your MP falls to zero, “MIND Break” will be invoked and the summoned MIND will have no further turns. If an enemy unleashes a powerful attack, you could be in a pinch depending on the situation.

The Japanese title (in parenthesis next to the stylized logo in promotional materials) seems to be Mind/Zero not Mind Zero, so I changed the thread title to that.
