Darkness has returned…
When Detective Paul Becker is called to one of the bloodiest gang massacres in Louisiana state history, only two survivors remain from a brutal conflict between two rival cults. As Becker begins his interrogations of the suspects, their combined recollections will uncover the truth about the ‘Eternals’.
Featuring an ensemble cast of heroes and villains, Shadow of the Eternals will span over 2500 years of history throughout Egypt, England, Hungary, and the United States. Players will question the perception of reality as they try to balance the mechanics of combat, magick, and sanity events to progress through the adventure.
Shadow of the Eternals will take players on a memorable journey throughout time; weaving historical fact with disturbing fiction to create an experience unlike any other.
The Production of the Pilot Episode
A major portion of the Pilot episode of Shadow of the Eternals takes place at the real-life location of Erzebet Bathory’s home, Cachtice Castle, in Hungary 1610 AD.

The Game Pillars
Historical fact woven with disturbing fiction
The lore of Shadow of the Eternals will be coupled with content that is historically accurate, in that either it did happen during the corresponding time period, or it is reasonable that it could have happened.
Question the perception of reality
Sanity Events will be a vehicle for the game to achieve exploration, storytelling, investigation, and puzzle-solving that will help develop adventure elements.
Episodic Adventure
Shadow of the Eternals will cover 2500 years of human history in a variety of locations across the globe. Each episode will highlight one of these locations and a unique story featuring characters that are part of a larger ensemble cast. Players will piece together how each character’s fate is intertwined with one another as more episodes are released.
Our Goal
Shadow of the Eternals will be an episodic series, and our initial goal is 1.5 million dollars. This includes production on the Pilot Episode, game engine costs and core system development. Future episodes of Shadow of the Eternals will be significantly less to produce, and we look forward to announcing more episodes based on the success of our campaign.
Additional money raised beyond this will also contribute to things such as in-game perks, additional gaming platforms, and other surprises. The more money that we raise, the more we will deliver based on what our fans want.
We are committed to making this game. However, if it becomes apparent that we cannot raise enough to develop this project then we will refund all pledges.
What platforms will Shadow of the Eternals be on?
We will be focusing on the PC and Wii U. Other platforms may be added in the future if desired by the community and the right funding goals are met.
When do you plan to release?
Q3 2014, with subsequent episodes to quickly follow.

The reason, according to studio boss Paul Caporicci, is “a host of a new exciting opportunities that will make the game better than we envisioned.”
The Kickstarter will return “in just a few short weeks” after the team’s “exciting developments” are revealed.
Everyone who funded the current Kickstarter and official website campaigns will receive a full refund when they go down.

Precursor Games has relaunched the Kickstarter for Shadow of the Eternals.
Things are a bit different this time. Rather than $1.5 million, the studio is now asking for $750,000 to fund the game’s development. Rather than being released in episodes, the game now appears to be a single release with eight to 10 hours of gameplay. And in addition to Wii U and PC, Precursor has added a stretch goal to release Shadow of the Eternals on PlayStation 4.
David Hayter, the voice of Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid series, has also been revealed as the voice behind main character Detective Paul Becker.
