Whoa, never would have expected sprites.

Battle system does indeed look very similar to Valkyrie Profile, however there is a grid visible there, so perhaps it's something more like the Lunar games.

I just got the game, and played a couple of hours.

I am not sure I fully understood the combat system, but I get raped by any basic enemies on the map...

Someone else played this already?
